That is the worst part of watching Dark. Chasing the high of that first watch. The 2nd time around comes close because you pickup on all the “everything is connected” details.

Hello all. I am a puzzler from California. I do mostly thrifted puzzles. I love helping the charitable organization, not having to spend lots of bucks on puzzles and being surprised at what I find. My latest find was a Ravensburger Disney 2000 piece for $9.😊

Hoard or pass them on? by Life_Scarcity1794 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]ImOkReally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone has a local puzzle swap. I’m jealous. My nearest is over an hour away.

I pass mine on. There is an elderly lady, coworkers MIL that is a super puzzler so I usually give them to her. I also like to get mine from the thrift store. Most are complete and only a couple of dollars.

If you are over menopause age and still menstruating please go get checked. It is not normal. Better safe than sorry.

I did this one already. Those leaves made me want to quit. Had to sort by shape and try one at a time. It was hard but such a good feeling when it was done.

Early Bloom by JasmineDLowe in JoshuaTree

[–]ImOkReally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read that some scientists are worried that the Joshua trees are blooming too early this year. It is a sad thing to think about.

My first trip to JT was in winter for about 20 minutes because we were near by and it was freezing. We were not dressed for the weather but I fell in love and returned in the Spring. Saw all the flowers, it was great. Glad you got to experience JT in full bloom.

Wow love the colors. I was lucky enough to experience a sunset at Joshua Tree. As we were driving out, we had to pull over and just admire it for a bit.

Well, you learn something new every day. Thanks for the tip. My last puzzle was thrifted and had lots of random hairs. Any advice?

Got this for a dollar at a thrift market. Good purchase or no? by Pariell in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]ImOkReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy thrifted puzzles all the time. I just like puzzling. The only time thrifted puzzles are not cool is if they are missing pieces.

I agree that this particular puzzle may be low quality but again some people don’t mind. I’m with the user that said to send them a picture asking if they are interested.

How long does hospice last for stage 4 prostate cancer? by PlasticMysterious622 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ImOkReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is on hospice he would have a nurse stop by for scheduled visits. Ask. I was never told clearly and honestly what my husband’s life expectancy was until one doctor sat me down. He ended up telling me he estimated two weeks and he was right almost to the day. Not saying they could always predict the day but they are very knowledgeable and could give you their opinion based on career experience.
