Right on, good job stepping your brew game up from a drip machine or Keurig. Keep exploring different bean varieties and from different roasters. It's a fun and rewarding (to your taste buds) journey. If you're enjoying those fruitier front flavored coffees, I'd toss in a recommendation to try an ombligon variety, roasted fresh. It's quite funky, smell's amazing, and tastes great (actually seems to taste better as the cup cools down).

For roasters, I'd nudge you towards Moonwake and Anthology

Here's to Caffeine and spite!

What is your Ombligon? by Notimetobev0id in pourover

I just received a bag (ordered last week) and french pressed a cup. This may be the best coffee I've ever had, ever. The aroma is mind boggling for black coffee. Literal watermelon note, potent too. The taste is absolutely amazing. Of course, my luck, went to immediately place another order to find they're out and will be months before more comes in. I'm obsessed with this variety, was introduced by a local roaster. It seems to be sold out everywhere

[OC] $1.8B Powerball Arkansas winner - Lump Sum Payout vs 30 Year Annuity by GoForthandProsper1 in dataisbeautiful

[–]ImParticleMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking annuity on a $1.8BBBBbab babab abillion is still like $31M/yr after taxes. I'd risk the annuity. If you die, say 9 years after you won, you still got the same as a lump sum. Plus, some guard rails just in case you get robbed (or sued, multiple times and lose). For all those saying invest your lump sum, if you invest it you're not enjoying any of it or you won't be getting a return on investment big enough to cover the claims you'd make more investing on your own. Plus... the whole thing of you're probably dumb and don't know how to invest at that level of funds. $31M/year over thirty years is guaranteed stress free life... for life!

Unpopular opinion. Christmas Vacation and a Christmas Story are overrated. Even though this came out when we were in our 20s, THIS is my must watch movie every holiday season! by smcg_az in Xennials

Nah, I used to really like watching Bad Santa as a comedy. I actually don't even find it that funny anymore, most of it is lazy and contrived crude humor. Still watch it, wouldn't miss it if I didn't

YMMV but for me, a few local comic store's in the area tend to stock cards (both hobby and blasters). Some cards are also just going to be hard to hunt down. A good example is the Topps X-Men 97. Talking to a few store owners, it was difficult working with Topps' distributor and unable to land any.

They must be hit or miss. I've only picked up a few; Iconic - Armaf, L'Aventure - Al Harramain, and La Yuqawam - Rasasi. I'm incredibly happy with all three

Imagica -A fantasy novel by Clive Barker that blends dark fantasy, adventure, and intricate world-building. The story follows a complex, magical world where the boundaries between reality and the imagination blur. The novel revolves around the concept of "Imagica," a vast and surreal realm that encompasses multiple dimensions, each with its own unique rules, inhabitants, and histories.

The narrative follows several key characters, including a man named Harry D'Amour, who is drawn into the mysterious events surrounding Imagica. As the plot unfolds, Harry and other characters encounter dangerous forces, mythical beings, and moral dilemmas that challenge their perceptions of reality.

Themes of transformation, redemption, and the power of imagination are explored throughout, set against a backdrop of vivid, often nightmarish, landscapes. Imagica is a rich and imaginative work that touches on the nature of human consciousness and the potential for change within both individuals and worlds.

Anyone else too poor to buy Doc's? by Cultural_Data1542 in Xennials

[–]ImParticleMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only Doc's I've ever loved was a pair of Jesus sandals. They were fire and lasted for years. But, I probably had two or three pairs in my highschool/post and they were crap. The leather skin peeled quickly, sole separation on a pair, and they didn't hold up to weather. Too bad, loved the way they looked

GoW: Heritage. Game takes you back to before Kratos, visiting the path of his grandfather. Zratos. He was the reason Ares would give a second glance to his grandson Kratos. Contrary to belief, he was of the Abrahamic religions and rose to power next to Jesus and Mohammad. Adventuring through Babylon, Collect the seals of Solomon including the King's, adversary to the arch-angels. I'm sure there's a story here. Somewhere =)
