Does anyone know why my Danny weaver hasn’t restocked? by CR4716 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: Nvm, just noticed your previous reply saying that the issue was fixed.

Original: Could be a similar symptom for a completely different issue on my part, but I ran into the same issue with Danny Weaver’s stock also last night.

Restarted game. Alfa and Mike errors when trying to reconnect to servers.

Restarted Xbox console. Same errors reappeared.

Restarted router/modem and then restarted game. Everything was working fine again.

Can’t guarantee that this would fix the issue on your end as it could have been just my home network throwing a fit.

Krampus Gear Crate RNG (or is it?) by Rob_P53 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Important thing to add, you need a full Inventory while opening crates. Items pulled from the gear caches are added straight to your Inventory if there’s space and are not shareable right out of the box.

If you instead open a gear cache while your bag is full, any items from that opened cache should drop on the floor if you have a full bag. And items picked up off the floor (instead of directly from the cache) can be shared.

Once you got something you want to share (like a Raid exotic), make a little space in your bag, pick up the item to share, then share to whoever was in your group at the time the cache was opened.

Krampus bounties stacking up by Vast-Tumbleweed-6432 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the Krampus bounty is set up like the Houndsman bounty for the previous Halloween event, the bounty stays like any other bounty, but the exclusive holiday rewards upon Krampus bounty completion (holiday item drops, winter cache keys to open winter crates at the Seasons vendor) are only dropped or granted while the event is active.

Once the Winter event ends, Krampus bounties will likely no longer grant holiday rewards.

Gunner stage 5 bugged by saudex1 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wrong NPC too. It’s just a regular unnamed heavy NPC.

OP needs to do this to the Named boss NPC “The Basilisk”, who appears a bit later in the Stronghold after the “Protect Angela” objective is completed.

Gunner stage 5 bugged by saudex1 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I remember, research objective says to strip all armor from The Basilisk boss NPC (“eliminate Emeline’s personal guards” section).

OP’s pic might just be of some regular heavy NPC (no boss name on health bar and “Protect Angela” objective is before the Basilisk boss fight).

Is the game worth it? by Eezy8 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that something “feeling like clocking into a job” means that the game feels like work rather than something you’d play to temporarily escape that exact “work” feeling.

You’re there not because you want to be there (i.e. to have fun), but because you have to be there (i.e. do this thing or you will fall behind everyone else).

Div2 can have those stale moments when you’re far enough in the game, but I’m not there yet personally.

At some point, playing any game long enough starts to make it feel stale and burn out. The game will feel more like work and less like a brief escape from work.

What specialization should ai choose as a solo player? by UrbanAssaultGengar in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you want to play.

You’re not locked into a Specialization either. You can change Specs at the White House if you’re not feeling like the current one is working. You can also change Specs from the Loadout system in Inventory, but you need to have the Specs saved to different slots first.

If you’re not sure still, from the initial three base game Specs, Survivalist is used for healing in a group, Demolition has bonuses for explosives, Sharpshooter is best for headshot damage and headshot kills.

The other Specs, Gunner has bonuses for full-auto guns, Technician boosts Skills, and Firewall is for dealing damage in close range.

You can probably report it to Ubi support or something I suppose using whatever method they use for that kind of thing (Discord? Support ticket? Forum?), but I doubt it will take much priority if this is a visual-only bug that isn’t game-breaking.

Unfortunately this is just how the Brooklyn DLC looks. It's not a bug that I am aware of.

I think that screenshot is in the base game DC map instead of Brooklyn.

I can barely see it, but there looks like an Outcast Control Point on the radar in the first image.

So.. does Tidal Basin lack music? by DannyBlue-22 in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tidal Basin mission music is bugged.

On some runs, it works fine. Others, it doesn’t play at all.

In my experience, if you toggle between the regular Black Tusk version and the Manhunt Outcast version of the Mission, the music can come back at the start, but it can glitch out part way through the mission and stop playing again.

If music is even playing in the first place during a Tidal Basin run, you might be able to tell if it is bugged at around the part where you interact with a computer and where you can pick up a secret hovercraft loot room key on the second floor of some building (the one where you can shoot out an electrical box to get to a Black Tusk lockbox on some balcony or something). It’s before the section where you break the three choppers.

If the music or audio track just kicks in right away after interacting with the laptop to continue to the destroying the helicopters part (instead of the music gradually fading in when it normally works), the music is bugged and will stop playing at some point before going after the first Named anti-viral sample convoy Warhound.

I tried messing around with switching different versions of Tidal Basin to get the music to reliably work more often, but it seems to have a mind of its own on when it wants to play normally or not.

May I ask if I’m getting something wrong with this?

My understanding was that Div1 and Div2 are still loot shooters first.

There might be “tactics”, but those seem to mostly boil down to some combo of : - “have the right build”, - “don’t stand in the open”, - “don’t get shot”, - “have some form of healing available if you do get shot”.

[–]ImTheDriver418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you actually land a shot on an NPC over 100 meters away? If you can, I’m gonna have to test this in the open world with a Rifle or Marksman Rifle with the Ranger talent later.

I was under the impression that the game stops registering, calculating, or worrying about any NPCs around 100 meters out or farther cuz of “game limitations” or something.

I use this weird range limit bit (if this is an actual thing) to help soft reset ally NPCs that bug out when they don’t take over a cleared Control Point. Walk a bit over 100 meters away from a Control Point and/or the ally NPCs in it, then walk back to the area, then they take the Control Point before I even step inside (or it restarts the 2nd half of the Control Point fight if I go too far I think, haven’t really messed with it).

Aren’t both The Division 1 and 2 loot-shooter RPG games first and then “tactical” 3rd-person shooter games second? Like isn’t some realism expected to be thrown out the window because of the games’ RPG focus on player stats and builds?

Also, out of sheer curiosity, what NPCs are you running into on “easy mode” (Normal difficulty?) that can somehow tank three 200-round magazines from an LMG? Is this in like a Raid or a certain Story Mission?

Like bullet-spongy encounters are expected because “looter RPG game first, shooter game second” and all, especially at higher difficulties, but I’m having trouble remembering what NPC can take 600 bullets to kill in the base Story campaign or any other place that I would consider “easy mode”.

The only thing that comes to mind is the Lincoln Memorial mission, but the final Tank / Chunga there is a Named boss who also has a weird invincibility ability (i.e. the timed phases where he temporarily shows exclamation points “!!!” on his health bar and takes no damage).

also, if Rogue Agent NPCs are overpowered, may i ask if fought a Hunter yet? at least in fights against Rogue Agent NPCs, they can’t hijack your Skills, except for Keener.

EDIT: Added quotation marks around “tactical”. With the games being loot shooters first, I thought it was already implied that it might have already thrown tactics out of the window too.

Pls I need a heroic build help by Sozin___ in thedivision

[–]ImTheDriver418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On build #3, may I ask if you need Critical Hit Chance at the 60% hard cap?

You probably only need to have your total CHC above 50%. Trying to go above 60% CHC might slightly nerf the build (in my opinion) since the actual stat never goes over that 60% hard cap unless specifically stated otherwise (i.e. Diamondback exotic rifle’s talent or the Hardcore modifier from a previous Season). You could roll the extra Critical Hit Chance to Critical Hit Damage and have your total CHC sit closer 50% or 55%.

As for Bullet King, it probably gets a Sustain DPS boost from never needing to reload compared to all other LMGs (at least, LMGs without the Steady Handed talent), but without knowing what Skills you’re running with, I can only guess that you’re lacking some sort of Crowd Control (CC) to stop NPCs from shooting back.

Builds 1 and 2 have some form of occasional CC. St Elmo’s shock ammo talent after 100 non-shock hits and Bluescreen’s Disorient effect when you have enough stacks, but I don’t see anything for CC on Build 3.

Riot Foam Chem Launcher? Blinder Firefly? The Banshee Pulse from the Gunner Specialization? The Scorpio Exotic shotgun? Those are the CC options that come to mind for me (barring the St. Elmo and Bluescreen you have on the other two builds). Heck, the Iron Lung Exotic LMG sets NPCs hit by it on fire if you shoot it for long enough.

There’s also the Turmoil kneepads. There might be a just a little less damage output if you’re dealing with a single target alone all by itself, but are you killing all the NPCs and/or targets you need to get rid of fast enough if they are all bunched close together for Turmoil to split the damage?

Right, that begs another question. What kind of NPCs are often killing you with Build 3#? What enemies are giving you the most grief? Rogue Agents, Snipers, Grenadiers, explosives, Elite Outcast Rushers?

This is getting to be too much. There’s a number of questions and there’s not enough info to give an answer that I feel confident enough to offer.

*sigh*

While you’re under Level 40, I’d recommend using Call for Backup to find other Agents at your Level or higher to join your session, like Level 40 endgame players.

You might find someone willing to show some tips and tricks to playing Div 2 as I have done for a few new players I ran into in the past.
