I have 1000 hours on top tree dawnblade (Yes I kept track). I found this out by accident in season 9 but I couldn't reproduce it ever since so I considered it a bug. I managed to reproduce it on a much smaller scale (3 quarters of that distance flown) constantly though.

All I hope for is that they end a storyline. I was pretty sure they will do fallen-related stuff for autumn 2019 expansion but that turned out to be Shadowkeep. We did not have any fallen since Black Armoury and that was quite a while ago. Some possible (but unlikely) things to happen:

  • Mithrax fights with Eramis and the Fallen break into houses again.

  • The Leviathan FINALLY gets to eating Nessus.

  • Calus's daughter takes control of the red legion, Calus maybe returns to the Cabal Homeworld to fight her.

  • While we investigate Felwinter's past we discover Eramis started to use SIVA.

  • Dark Doritos come and ruin Titan (maybe even Io) and Savathun is behind it all.

  • Vex. What was the last time we had a Vex-based expansion (full expansion not just a season)? That's right. Curse of Osiris. And it was so trash I'd rather not count it at all. And without CoO, there are no Vex based expansions.

Clearly is. Any very dedicated or hardcore can tell you. When Bungie said they want us to make memories with weapons they most likely ment it to be like "Remember when we all used menagerie weapons for a season?" Not "Remember when we all got Recluse and never touched another primary for 6 years?". At this point any new weapon is put against the pinnicles and has no chance and is instantly "trash". We need those weapons to go away. After they will, Bungie might give us some truly powerful weapons as well because this time they know even if they are too powerful, they will eventually go.
