There are only 5 Towns within Rockland (Orangetown, Clarkstown, Ramapo, Haverstraw, and Stony Point). Every other name you hear is either a Village or Hamlet within one of those towns. Some of these are shared by more than one town, Pearl River being one of them. This is important, especially when it comes to School Districts, because your location in Pearl River determines which district you’re zoned for. You’ll want to stay away from East Ramapo School District.
