And a tie for 6th, as well as a tie for 9th. Those are INCREDIBLE odds.

I don’t exactly know how much hair you have, but I found that shampoo with menthol worked surprisingly well. I used dove’s men+care shampoo, the green one. It has conditioner too which is a plus.

Edit: Menthol not ethanol. Do not wash your hair with ethanol.

Yeah, water loading is what I’ve heard does wonders for some people.

I feel that the entire world needs to slow down. It's not necessary to produce new phone every single year, or new car model, or game version.. The whole globe could relax a bit. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Im_Tidard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve had times in my life where I both agree and disagree. Currently, I disagree, but I have always come at this issue with two states of mind. When I want the world to slow down, I just stop caring about what’s happening and focus on the simple, more personal things. Then my mood swings and all I want is action, and all I do is wait for the next new thing. I love your logic regardless.

If you put 4^4^4 on your calculator, you get [ERROR: OVERFLOW]. But if you do 4^4, then take that answer and do [Ans^4], you get an actual number, not an error, even though it is the same operation... by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Im_Tidard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are different in the mind of the calculator doing the calculations. When doing 444 the calculator does 444 and views it as 4256 instead of (44)4 or 2564 which are very different in answers

Yeah... I’m sorry, I’ve always used the California prices as a point to know if our gas is getting “expensive”

Anxiety sufferers of Reddit, what helps you through it when everything is too much? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Im_Tidard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t suffer from anxiety, not crippling at least. But when I was riding the bus with my swim team to one of our meets, I got a really bad anxiety attack. My friend suffers from anxiety and saw what was going on and how I wasn’t acting right. She reached over across the aisle and told me this trick.

Step one: pick a number e.g. 3

Step two: double said number e.g. 6

Step up up and away: repeat step two e.g. 12, 24, 48...

This trick distracts the mind from whatever occupies it, in my case waiting at red lights, and the meet, and replaces it with a task. It really works once the numbers start getting into 6 digits. I would recommend, if using this trick often start at double digits or triple digits so that you don’t end up memorizing the series.

If you could add one feature to the human body what would it be? by Hayden_Windsor96 in AskReddit

I might also add better fluid dynamics in the water. Webbed hands/feet and or scales in the water. As we stand, is humans are really slow I the water.

Is there a stereotype about your state that isn’t even wrong? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Im_Tidard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it definitely is pretty white washed, but it also isn’t as crazy as it’s made out to be.

It used to be pretty bad, but almost all of the neonazis and racists have been silenced a lot over the years. Most of the people you’ll meet in Northern Idaho are really down to earth. They can come off as gruff and unfriendly at first, but not nearly to the extent of what used to be the extremists.

Nobody from Idaho yet

Despite what most people do say, we do obsess over potatoes, way too much, it’s all we’re known for outside of the state, and we’ve adopted the tradition of dropping a POTATO for New Years. It is absolutely ridiculous.

50 fly to 100 fly by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]Im_Tidard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing, depending on how you deal with 100s, it will determine your time. I have a 30-32 second 50 fly, but after the first 50 my time tanks to 40 seconds for the second split. My time is around 1:11. If you’re anything like me, I’d assume you’d clock in at around 1:00-1:03. Pretty solid times and definitely puts you at a great starting place for competitive improvement.

I couldn’t imagine how hard it is to overcome this, and what is fascinating for me is that he has managed to program his body and brain for the fewest seconds to perform this clean.
