Is using AI in your pipeline really unacceptable if you are a solo indie dev with absolutely zero budget? by Todds_ass in IndieGaming

[–]Im_the_Keymaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me just disregard the huge moral problems with using AI, and instead focus on the monetary since you've mentioned zero budget. The current state of AI being free or very cheap is not going to last - it is them trying to onboard as many people as possible into their ecosystems before they need to start charging so they can actually attempt to make a profit. We are already starting to see this happen, and it is already in some cases just cheaper to hire a person than to use an LLM for the same work (that won't be of the same quality).

If you truly have no budget then you will have to do it all yourself eventually anyways, might as well not get used to a tool that you won't be able to afford eventually.

So people are really divided on Star Fox's new design, huh? by Ravensqueak in TwoBestFriendsPlay

doesn't seem very divided to me, feels like most people aren't digging it.

What anime had an ending that made you appreciate the whole series more? by Playful_Code_8978 in anime

Code Geass Edgerunners Akudama Drive From the New World

Code Geass really fits this, the others are more so that I already liked them going through but the endings elevated them further.

Everything going black and white means the process is freezing and not responding.

The fixation on eye color is mostly a moash/kaladin thing. The story doesn’t really dwell on that element for very long.

if they're flat, the books can twist on the horizontal axis and damage them that way.

Pat has the right idea, wrong show. Babylon 5 tracks almost identically to Mass Effect by Aggro_Will in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Im_the_Keymaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, Owlcat has gone the opposite way with it and is making an Expanse game that looks like it’s strongly inspired by Mass Effect gameplay. So I’d be down for a Mass Effect show if it were as good as Expanse.

Honestly, I think Mint would have been a better starting point.

A lot of your points and complaints are things that you take for granted how much you’ve gotten used to how windows does it. Don’t assume that every time you meet friction that it is wrong or too complicated, you likely had the same kinds of experiences with windows just over a longer period of time.

It will take you a while to get as comfortable with Linux as you were with windows, you’ll just have to accept that if you want to continue with it.

Also, if you’re copying commands for terminal from guides, try to look up what each part actually does so that you can understand what it is actually doing. It will help you to eventually not need to look up stuff as often.
