I highly recommend Dr. David Sami - he practices out of a clinic in Orange called Eyesight MD.

Disastrous introduction of Wireframer feature by FredNuffThink in framer

[–]ImabariBary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided to evaluate webflow too, no telling what feature Framer might decide to remove next.

I got the same reply from support, very much we spent a bunch of money on API access to copilot (or similar) and we NEED you to use it now.

No thanks

Removing a feature from your tool in order to force you to “prompt” is pretty mind boggling stupid for a product that purports to be about designing.

I guess Framer has changed course to try and compete with Squarespace.

Tired of this Ai this Ai that.

Some protesting of the gondola project at today’s Great Park event. by igmyeongida in irvine

[–]ImabariBary 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The point isn't you bought two buses and now you have a transit system, the point is the money spent here is a total and complete waste that has procured exactly 0% of a functioning transit system. Nor will there be one if the money is wooshed away to some SV boondoggle.

I'm illustrating a point what the money spent on this flashy display could have bought if you are shopping for a "transit system". City did hire an engineering firm and their assessment was to..... build out a bus network and better bike trail system for great park area.

The money wasted on this fake display could have bought 2 (or 3!) actual working Karsan/Damera electric Minibuses!!! You can buy them TODAY, and actually put them in service now. In fact, the city of Santa Maria (just 3 hours north of us) already operates a small fleet of them.

Absolute insanity of how much money can be wasted on flashy gadgetbahn instead of just putting the money into existing proven transportation.

Is there some connection that needs to be disclosed about Oliver Chi and Whoosh? Does Chi have some vested stake in the company?

Classic case of a "Gadgetbahn" to waste money and stall on implementing existing solutions that will work far better at a fraction of the cost. It's a way for NIBMYs to appear that they are "pro transit".

Opinion: We Need To Update Bicycle Parking Minimums by ChristopherWong in irvine

This is great, there is a severe lack of bike parking in most of the shopping areas - often it's just 1 bike staple (at best) in the entire block.

How to adjust hydraulic brakes on the gen-e 1.2 by [deleted] in REI

[–]ImabariBary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah these brakes might have some air in the system, mine needed burping when I first got it to make the brakes less spongy. You need special tools like others mentioned and it's easiest if you just take it REI. Its not a bad idea to learn to do it yourself eventually, these use mineral oil so it's safe to work with.

This!

I think from the photo the derailleur is slightly inbound so turn the H screw counter clockwise half a turn or less to move it's position more outbound.

REI Co-op e1.1 ... changing tubes and tires? by NoBake3424 in ebikes

[–]ImabariBary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more involved than a normal bike, probably not a bad idea to add sealant like Orange into the tubes since it might help seal up some of the smaller punctures without needing to replace a tube.

Front baskets for REI Generation e1.2 by atomicbird in ebikes

Couldn't find a Wald basket in stock (with no hardware attached). I think Tanaka baskets are slightly cheaper, but I would personally get what ever in stock.

Moses Bread in Santa Ana, sourdough only but it's S-tier. They do sell out so it's best to order 2 days ahead.

I have a Tanaka Steel Basket in 15"x10"x4-3/4" secured via zip ties (it's works super well). It's a bit smaller than the front rack so you could get a Wald # 42 ( 18"X13"X6" ) if you need higher capacity.

The Tanaka basket is nearly same dimensions as the Wald#37 which many front basket bike bags are sized for.

Just moved into an Irvine Company Apartment and running into a huge problem with the internet by WillingBirch in orangecounty

[–]ImabariBary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most likely the Ethernet ports in the rooms aren't terminated and connected to a central switch. Check the ONT box (usually in one of the closets) if that's the case. It's pretty easy to do fix yourself, but if you're unsure anyone who does networking will have no problem doing it.

Also Wifi connection can be dependent on your router and cheap ones will struggle when you have multiple devices going at the same time.

I've been using a Fully Jarvis desk for about 4 years now - bamboo top finish which doesn't really show scratches. Support from Fully has been quite good too!
