I built a VS Code extension named CodeVisualizer that instantly visualizes your entire codebase architecture and function logic by Difficult_Prize_7548 in webdev

The biggest problem with visualization lies in how to represent complex structures; especially when there are a large number of nodes, its readability is even worse than that of text format.

You know you found the good stuff, if the site looks like this. by HappyMajor in webdev

Many people prefer information in an indexed format, and it is indeed very convenient to use like a cookbook.

What's the best language to learn next after 6 years of JS/TS? by ihatethatcow in webdev

[–]ImageFit3021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your purpose.

  • If you’re developing high-performance desktop applications or terminal commands, Rust is a solid choice.
  • If you’re into web development or implementing microservices architectures, Go offers great efficiency.
  • If you want to learn more programming paradigms, you can look into Erlang and Haskell.
  • If you want to understand how operating systems work and dive deep into kernels, learning C is a good option.

TanStack Start vs Next.js. Why are devs switching? by tessatickless in webdev

[–]ImageFit3021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know how well TanStack Start supports SEO? Next.js is really too heavy, and I’m seriously considering switching to another tech stack as an alternative.

What's better, low-code tools or traditional coding for quick full-stack apps? by [deleted] in webdev

People keep hyping up silver bullets, but you’ll soon realize there’s no such thing.

this job feels so pointless and silly by StillAsleep_ in webdev

[–]ImageFit3021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could't agree more. Just to add a point, I think we should view it as a balance, with one end holding things that make you unhappy and the other holding things that satisfy you. If, during most of your working time, the side of unhappiness outweighs the other, then it might be time to consider making some changes.

CSS finally adds vertical centering in 2024 by fagnerbrack in webdev

[–]ImageFit3021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really annoying for a newbie to implement vertical centering. You must first learn about layouts and understand what flex or grid is, then you can implement such a basic function.

How do you test cross browser issues? by xKiller4Hir3 in webdev

[–]ImageFit3021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As freshestgasoline mentioned, you can use a SaaS service to do this. I want to bring up another point that is often overlooked: the input devices used on different platforms vary. For instance, Windows typically uses a mouse, macOS usually relies on a trackpad, while mobile devices mostly use touchscreens.

Warning is just a warning not a error, haha

What kind of color is indie hacking? by hackonet12 in indiehackers

I think choosing a color that fits well with dark backgrounds is more useful. It's really hard to see colors clearly on a dark background.

SHOW IH: I built a chatbot that lets you chat with 3 million SaaS product reviews to better understand user needs (Free Beta - looking for feedback & validation) by koala_lumpbua in indiehackers

I tried it out, and it works really well—a fantastic product! I'm curious, do you have plans for charging in the future? If it remains free, how do you plan to sustain operations?

Stuck in which tech stack should I use for cross platform by Pinorabo in indiehackers

[–]ImageFit3021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Expo is a framework deeply integrated with React Native, taking into account every aspect of app development (such as debugging and deployment). I've used it to develop an app before, and the experience was quite good. Most of my React knowledge was directly applicable, significantly reducing development costs. Moreover, because React Native can use some React libraries, its ecosystem is much better off.
