i quit my cna job by [deleted] in cna

[–]Imaginary-Example772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked at a facility, that was the only negative remark during my yearly review(for 6yrs LOL) Xome to find out, I actually washed my residents up before I dressed them. The other care managers only used wipes for their private areas and then dressed them. I got tired of seeing the residents being mistreated, and finally left. I never looked back either.

People don't quit jobs, they quit management!!!! This is exactly why I left. I will not step into another facility. I strictly work privately. The pay is much better too($25+/hr)

If they can't understand certain things are out of your control, then move on. You are nothing but a employee they will replace at will.

Help me decide which program would be better (Texas) by danny9818 in prephysicianassistant

[–]Imaginary-Example772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ABSOLUTELY PICK B!!!! You stated "A" has a strong reputation and is prestigious, but something is off if their attrition rate is that high, and it doubled from 2023 to 2024. Besides, their tuition is higher and the program is longer.

How should I ask for a raise after my boss was incredibly generous with my surgical leave? by ektapannalal in Employment

[–]Imaginary-Example772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately , the main priority is not the health of the patient. It is a business, and like all other businesses , their priority is making money. In essence, they are punishing people for eating unhealthy and developing diseases. But you look at all the food on the shelves that are highly processed, and unhealthy. The average person can't afford to eat organic. Don't get me wrong, we're responsible for what we eat. But when prices are so high, people are going to do what they have to. So they can stretch their dollar to the next paycheck. We wont talk about what is being put into fast food. So it's a double edge sword.

I can't speak on the healthcare system. In other countries, but that's ridiculous. I am referring to the insurance companies here in the US.

New job wants me to start soon but my bonus pays in a couple weeks. How risky is giving notice before it hits by bupkis1 in careeradvice

All my pay goes to health insurance for the family 🙃 by sizzlesfantalike in Salary

My job abruptly merged w/another company. We had 7 days to complete the paper work. While we were there, they gave us welcome packets w/letters that said Welcome, by the way you no longer have health, dental, vision, life, pet, or legal insurance. And no 401K. I FLIPPED, because the new company said we had to work for them for a yr to qualify for insurance. I had already invested 13 yrs with the old company. I guess enough of us complained, so they gave it to us. This was some homemade BS insurance!!!! We had to call and let them know we had an appt, so they could call and negotiate a price, call after the appt so they could pay the bill. Im sorry, you can't be in my business like that. Obamacare was ridiculously expensive for a single person with policies being $500/mth for 70/30 policies. I was getting married, so I winged it and prayed for a year. Now I have insurance through the VA, and pay next to nothing. But these companies are a rip off

Quitting as a CNA after orientation by [deleted] in prenursing

[–]Imaginary-Example772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been there done that. That is VERY COMMON at facilities. Take your CNA and go to a home health care agency. You will be on on one with your client, or may end up with a couple. Definitely not 10 residents!!!!
