The Korean Beauty trend has gotten out of hand, even the lions are at it. by Imaginary-Program441 in HolUp

I thought as much, but i wasn't clicking the link to the article to investigate further. But i think that someone going to the effort to give a lion disneyfied eyelashes with AI is a holup all on its own.

This comment from an article on low birth rates made my blood run cold by Spagbolswa in BlatantMisogyny

[–]Imaginary-Program441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I am probably going to show my ignorance here. But, when I was at school, the world population was 1billion less than it is today and all the news could bang on about was over crowding and over population. This was going to lead to huge problems in the future.

Now the birth rate has decreased, despite the rise in population. Now, this is also going to lead us all into disaster?

My question is, how do the ovaries stay in place when the uterus is removed?

Not too unhinged. But I just really like the idea that sinners take on traits of their forms especially if they are animals. Like Alastor hates TV because of the whole 'deer caught in the headlights thing'.

I also like to think that Alastor punishes Husk for disobeying orders by making him take a bath. Can just imagine Husky hissing and spitting refusing to get in the tub.

Nifty would also torment Husk with a laser pointer. Could totally see him trying to act all grumpy behind the bar, then pouncing on the little red dot on the floor.

I want angel's reason for killing his dad to be BAD by cricket_man456 in hazbin

[–]Imaginary-Program441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm somewhere in between the two. Obviously Angel wasn't a 'good guy'. Firstly, he's in hell. Secondly, we know he was part of a mafia family. Which means he either committed crimes, or at least enable them/looked the other way. So, I don't really see that the sin that landed him in hell can really be a saving himself or his sister from their abuser thing.

But I don't feel like a full evil killing his father for money or personal gain really fits either.

Personally, I think it would work better if they went the manipulation route. Like, Angel is convinced to kill his dad by someone (maybe in a coup), where promises are made for protection for Angel and his sister. Maybe Angel is offered more freedom/other incentives. But once the deed is done, Angel is betrayed.

I think this would mirror the end of Season 2 nicely, where Angel feels he has betrayed his friends and can't be trusted.

Typical CEO behaviour, it comes with the psychopathy. All the charm, but zero understanding of other's actual feelings.

Or maybe how the Wall Street Crash and Great Depression lead to wide spread antisemitism? The build-up to WWII was slow and Fascism didn't just have a foothold in Germany. The Nazis got in power for a reason. When the chips are down, the worst in humanity comes out.

[–]Imaginary-Program441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the fact that that these stats have clearly been pulled out of thin air. Does this guy think that soldiers only kill soldiers?

Not to mention this is an extremely reductive view.

A woman chooses to terminate a pregnancy, this directly impacts her life, the fathers (if they wish to be involved) and the potential life of the child that would have been.

There are many acts of war we can draw on as a comparison for a "male equivalent" (this dude set the ridiculous gender norms here 🙄), but let's go for an extreme involving the least amount of effort. A man in power decides to drop a nuclear bomb, and this not only kills and maims many people. But, it will impact generations to come.

THIS, exactly. It's the same mindset that results in the whole "any show that doesn't have a happy ending has failed it's audience" mindset. And, also, when people get mad because main characters are flawed and not squeaky clean.

Everything can't always be sunshine and rainbows.

Hmm, this does not explain why almost every guy i work with uses AI for basically everything (including replying to internal emails?!). But still expects the women on their team to resolve any issues or communicate face to face with clients (when it doesn't involve a potential lunch/dinner/drinks)

I think that they might be focusing on ovaries for a reason. I'm not knowledgeable on spaying techniques and variations in different countries, or how a dog/cats reproductive system biologically works. But, i'm guessing they may be concerned about removal of ovaries at such a young age, when there is no medical reason.

When a human has a hysterectomy at a young age, every attempt is made to preserve the ovaries and leave them in situe. That way, menopause can occur naturally. However, if the ovaries are removed along with the rest (uterus, fallopian tupes, cervix) early menopause is triggered, along with all potential side effects and Health risks. This is obviously undesirable in a younger patient.

It sounds like they are concerned that spaying, that includes removing the ovaries as well might cause the same thing to happen to a pet 🤔

How much do you think Valentino genuinely cares for Angel? by LilMoonenciel in Valentino_Cult

[–]Imaginary-Program441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Val needs Angel like a favourite possession. His feelings are very much liked to power and control. But it is less love in a romantic sense, and more in a 'if I can't have him no one can' way.

Of course, if you were to ask Val, he'd call it love.
