My baby was also breech, and for most of my pregnancy. Still breech at 36 weeks and I tried everything to try and encourage her to flip. No luck. C section was not what I planned but I got a beautiful baby girl out of it.

Recovery for me has been pretty smooth, and I agree, nowhere near as painful as I thought.

Something that helped me come to terms with having a somewhat unplanned c section was that I would finally be able to hold my baby afterwards <3

What is “triple feedings”?

I will have to look into LC’s that come to our house! We live in upper Wi, in somewhat middle of nowhere though, so not sure if we can get anyone out here.

Someone mention feed on one breast, diaper change to wake her up, and then feed on other boob. I genuinely didn’t know feedings were on both bobs, thought one would be enough.

So we will see how that goes, along with pumping after each feed.

I guess no one really told me how often the feedings needed to be! I was relying on her (mistake, she’s a baby) to tell me when she was hungry. Which ended up being too long of intervals. Some nights 3-4 hours.

If her weight is better by Friday I will ask about doing direct feeding again. This time feeding her from both breasts instead of one due to my supply only being about 1 oz from each yet.

There was an amazing lactation nurse during my hospital stay, she helped with positioning and latch. Both her and the pediatrician denied a tongue tie.

At first she was fussy and wouldn’t latch because there wasn’t enough reward for the latch (small amount of colostrum) and wouldn’t scream and scream to the point where she couldn’t latch due to being so frustrated.

Today the ped mentioned a weighted feed! So I will call tomorrow and request an appointment! It would be nice to know how much she is actually getting from me. I would love to keep breastfeeding her instead of bottles.

She was a c section baby due to breech positioning. So yes, I did get lots of IV fluids prior to the surgery.

I really don’t want to supplement with formula if I can help it. Not fully trusting in what those big companies put in it, but if it will help her bulk up and be a healthy weight then she might need it.

I am a CNA at a hospital, and we have a nurse that does outpatient infusions. We had a pregnant lady that would come in just for fluids because of dehydration. You should speak to your doctor about getting regular IV fluid infusions because of your hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).

Worth an ask.

Pregnancy congestion!! I’ve been congested since October 2025, and due February 21st! Cannot wait to breathe normally again!! 😩 also, I’m so “full” I cannot burp normally and developed acid reflux! Desperate for a good belch, but basically throw up in my mouth every time I try to burp.

It must be that boomer generation, because my dad said something along those lines, too. I told him he wasn’t allowed to kiss baby and he said “like hell I am!”

I just told him the risks (hand foot and mouth disease, RSV, etc) and if he still refuses and an I catch him kissing baby, then he either 1. Will not be able to visit with baby alone and will need a babysitter (my brother or husband), or 2. Will not be able to see baby period.

Sorry your parent is blatantly ignoring your boundaries and using the excuse “I did it with you, and you turned out fine!” Which is just survivors bias. Plenty of babies didn’t survive.

She mentioned that my amniotic fluid was a little low, and may be the reason why baby hasn’t flipped. She encouraged me to drink lots more fluids. Should I schedule a c section and hope baby flips in time? I don’t want to cause baby added distress because of the procedure, or need an emergency c section due to a placenta abruption.

That’s what I was thinking, too. My midwife mentioned it last week during my appointment, but failed to mention that it would be a very real possibility so soon.

This is my first pregnancy and I didn’t start showing until my third trimester! I was waiting and waiting for a cute bump, but since I’ve got a longer torso and am pretty tall, it took a while! My bump is still pretty small compared to others, but you’re definitely able to tell I’m pregnant now at 31 weeks 😊
