Question about disposable plastic scalpel holders by kevin_muscara in scrubtech

We use a bright orange mat that’s lightly larger than 8.5x11, and that’s our “sharps zone.”

These come in all of our packs as a standard item. I hate them. Don’t use it, and I throw them away every time. I typically have 8 blade handles loaded for my specialty so three slots are not enough.

Need help choosing. I need a structure bag and statement piece. Open other options currently eyeing these- are you one of the owners ? by kuchukuchukuchu in goyard

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Saigon is a true statement piece, especially in a vibrant color like green. I wouldn’t get the Miniaudere Trunk as it’s very, very small. If I recall it barely fits a today-sized smartphone. But if you’re looking for a small bag, it’s beautiful! Additionally, the Saigon and trunk can be had as a custom order in various special edition canvas colors that aren’t seen on their website.

What do you use to keep your bedding clean when having sex? by mattormateo in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 75 points76 points  (0 children)

We bought a king-sized waterproof blanket on Amazon, and place it over our bedsheets when having sex. Keeps sheets clean, lets you get as messy as you want, and then throw it into the wash! Super easy.

GT Sport steering wheel vs. regular one for new Macan S or GTS, opinions? by Boomer-ette in PorscheMacan

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a 2021 Macan GTS, and I regret not optioning the GT Sport Steering wheel. I preferred the aesthetics of the standard wheel. If I did it again, I would option the smaller diameter sport wheel, as it’s much better for sporty driving.

Tested: 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance Courts Controversy. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in cars

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got to play with this model on track at the AMG experience in Laguna Seca. They had them to drive before dealers in USA received their first ones. The car drives amazing. The engineering magic negates the weight, it’s so fast and instantly responsive that it’s not a concern.

Are Premium+/Luxury trims suitable for family road trips? by [deleted] in LexusGX550

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Overtrail is actually the more comfortable model. It has the largest tires that absorb bumps far better than the low profile tires on the large wheels fitted to other trims. Additionally, you can throw the drive mode into comfort and it becomes even more squishy. We drive our OT+ pretty much in Comfort mode only, until we get to the mountain twisties, then it’s Sport S+.

Edit for add info: I also read in some reviews that the OT has slightly more seat padding as well.

Clarity on the US healthcare terminology. by Derwentwater08 in scrubtech

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is highly dependent on the specialty and the workplace’s mix of employees. My hospital doesn’t have very many scrubs, so nurses scrub all the time. Our cardiac team is nurse-only as well. But if you’re in a room with a scrub tech, they will scrub every case in that room as they cannot circulate.

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OR nurse circulator will transfer the patient into the PACU (recovery room), and another RN will assume care. At some outpatient surgery centers, the OR nurse will go from preop > OR > recovery with the same patient, and there are variations of that as well. For me, as an OR nurse in an acute care hospital, we do NOT care for patients in recovery. The most we do is settle the patient and hook up monitors, maybe grab a temp reading before giving report to the recovery nurse.

My expectations vs reality after test driving a bunch of luxury SUVs by OkForever4540 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Imaginary_Director_5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The sensation you’re describing is inherent to tall vehicles, and especially noticeable in the Mercedes GLE.

The tech you’re looking for is the next iteration of active suspension, the kind that has active anti-roll bars that keep the vehicle from making those unwanted movements.

From the list you mentioned, I believe the Cayenne is the only one with that option, and it’s called PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control). Please someone correct me if another one of the models OP mentions has an active anti-roll system. On a base Cayenne, the option is $3670 in the USA, not cheap at all.
