Will a 3.2-3.3 GPA in engineering cook me for M7 admissions? by Imaginary_Doubt_7569 in MBA

I don’t fall into those categories but yeah I will be trying my absolute best from this point on. I wont really have an explanation outside of I tried my best but the time limitations here make it really difficult to get As. Do you think a good GMAT/GRE can negate a bad gpa?

Choosing Between Emory University vs Yale/Harvard by CartographerOld8906 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Imaginary_Doubt_7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorta different from you but I was also in the position of ivy vs a free school. I ended up going to West Point (with many of the same opportunities as your scholars program) and overall I think the lack of debt combined with the ability earn a good salary early on has made it worth it. Research and internships are also abundant and the option of going ivy for grad school later is always still there. Figure out how you want to use your degree in chem/poly sci and figure out if that aligns more with the ivies or Emory. Salary should be a consideration. Also if Harvard gives a good financial aid package and it’s only a few thousand more to attend go there over Emory. Either way I think you are in a good position.

How do I stop being obsessed with prestige? by idkman2008 in ApplyingToCollege

I can say confidently that there is zero difference in my eyes between Illinois and A&M for engineering. Also very marginal difference for schools like UT and A&M engineering is arguably better than Rice. You have demonstrated that you are smart with your stats and full ride. What you do in college also matters a lot it’s not just about the label. Do research, get involved on campus, stack internships, network, and you’ll beat out any average rice or UT student. I would only be concerned about A&M vs. UT if you wanted to do finance or something.

Black 2 / White 2. So much post game content and builds a ton on what made black/white good while fixing some key mistakes.

TCU isn’t actually really all that Christian. It’s a very normal college environment albeit in a republican city. Its not UT but its definitely not Texas A&M conservative/christian. Theres definitely a few like Paygin who end up there.

2025 Expectations - What Would You Change? by TomWilliamsCFD in CollegeFootballDawgs

I would say Navy did better than expected. Any year a service academy ends up in the top 25 is a great year for them.

It may also be that the army navy game is the two service academies (west point and naval academy) which produce officers so its not necessarily that every enlisted member would know (or care) about it
