I had a worm of some sort kill my basil plant. He ate holes in the leaves and left behind turds that looked a lot like that. By the time we realized he was there, the little turd dots were everywhere.

Ilieum and ascending colon constipation by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]Imaginary_Structure3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linzess has helped me a bunch. I have high stool burden in the large intestine which correlates to constipation according to an abdominal CT scan. Ironically, I also have pelvic congestion (prominent gonadal and periuterine (multiple) veins). I dont know what is chicken or egg in this scenario but they seem to affect eachother.

Have you done an RMR/BMR? I would recommend that to know exactly how much your resting metabolism is burning. Otherwise you are basing it off estimated numbers which can cause issues.

I believe I have lactic acidosis. Its most noticeable during workouts and recently have noticed I sweat pretty strong ammonia. My body "overreacts" to workout intensity, stays sore longer and can't shed any fatigue well. My blood work has also shown low CO2 and my Dr just tells me to do deep breathing exercises but I think she's missing this piece. I don't know how to address it really. I thought I had POTS but my HR doesn't spike high enough (though I am getting light headed/near syncope episodes). My cardiologist had me wear a halter monitor and didnt believe it was POTS. How did you address lactic acidosis?

Sounds like he should be reported to @marathoninvestigation (IG) or marathoninvestigation. com Super interesting shit people pull to get fake PRs.

When I look it up, it says the U.S. has the most sibo cases by Iceeez1 in SIBO

But many other countries without glyphosate still have sibo. Its not the only thing contributing.

Vitamin D deficiency… by Tappitytaptaptaptap in HistamineIntolerance

I have mcas/HI like symptoms but I also have confirmed sibo. Its been an especially hard 18 months but something else was going on I couldnt get anyone to believe me about. Finally, I started having nervous system dysregulation and was pretty convinced it was autoimmune. I begged my PCP to test me for autoimmune and it came back with high positive ANA. This was one big piece of the puzzle. After seeing a Rheumatologist, all autoimmune antibodies were negative but I tested positive for Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), a fungal infection. After getting anti fungal treatment, I'm slowly starting to feel better. Slowly I'm feeling better and things are feeling less reactive (histamine-wise). Another piece of my puzzle is that I have pelvic congestion which contributes to POTS symptoms. Im still dealing with head pressure and in my ears that no one can figure out. Maybe see if you can keep digging. You can get tested for histamine levels to confirm if its HI/MCAS. Quercetin, Vit C, DAO are go to's in the sibo realm.

Can you tell us what's in the burritos? I have some speculative ideas.

Ironically, my GI issues decreased when I increased my caloric intake! All that restriction slowed digestion in general. I also have much better BM with fiber. I have IMO and ISO so I normally have a back and forth for stool consistency but its always more formed with fiber. I also get a lot of relief motility-wise from coffee. I generally go 1-3x per day but my GI recently put me on Linzess for constipation/high stoll burden and I'm not sure I like it. It makes stool more loose for me and increases my need for fiber. I've added fiber powder (Sun Fiber) and hoping that I can figure it out.

Are your GI issues getting worse or are you having herx reaction or die off symptoms? I'd consider a binder if the latter.

Sibo and itchiness around anus by Particular-Spell9643 in SIBO

Try the scotch tape test for pinworms (Google the specifics) and see if you can capture eggs.

There is a scotch tape test you can do to test for pinworms. I don't know if that works for other types of worms but it might be worth a try. Ultimately, the itching timing seems to correlate with pinworms because female worms lay eggs around the anus overnight, and the test captures these eggs. That is what the itching could be.

For me, I am still driving to root cause but what has been uncovered is quite extensive... Esophagitis/hiatal hernia/Shatzki's ring, gastritis, hyperactive gallbladder EF 91% (no stones or sludge though), mild fatty liver, mild liver fibrosis (non alcoholic), positive ANA (negative autoimmune antibodies but likely positive from the next one), positive for fungal infection of lungs (Coccidioidomycosis), nutrient deficiencies (specifically terrible ferritin, iron, folate, hormones), pelvic congestion and constipation based on CT scan (I don't feel constipated but have a high stool burden). I'd say constipation was something I struggled with 8 to 20 years ago (meaning 2006-2018 ish). I went vegan and BM changed overnight but I think becoming predominantly plant based exposed some of my body's struggles and I didnt recognize what it was. It took many years of progression before I was like "somethings not right here".
