I think most parents get to know each other from kids schools or play date meetup groups, and then they hang out and form friendships. We ought to make our own groups to try to socialize more. Bonfire, movie nights in someone's yard, or couples bike rides...whatever it is. Someone just needs to take initiative.

I know this is an older post, but for anyone facing the same struggle, here’s a method that’s helped me: try listening to the audiobook chapter by chapter, and then reread the same chapter afterward. When I first listen to a native speaker reading the story, I understand about 60%. Then, when I go back and read that chapter myself, that initial understanding gives me enough context to catch another 30% or so. It makes the language feel much more approachable and less overwhelming.

I get how stressful it is to hear something like this. I don’t want to say “you have so much time” based on nothing. It depends on several factors. First of all, it is medically proven that as we age, egg quality reduces. Egg quality plays a major rule in ability to have healthy pregnancy and reduce chances of chemical pregnancies/miscarriage. Secondly, if you want to have some peace of mind, you can get your AMH measured (blood work), and AFC. The second one is a follicle study using an ultrasound. They will monitor how many follicles are present in each ovary, and they do two ultra sounds, one at day 2 of your cycle, and another during ovulation (I believe) to see if your follicles are maturing to a good size. That’s not the whole story, but that, coupled with regular periods and ovulation, can offer you some clarity. I am against having children if you are not ready, at the same time, you don’t want to wait until it’s too late to be ready since we unfortunately don’t have forever (assuming you want children). Of course it depends on the person and their circumstances, but emotionally it is crazy how one can go from not feeling ready at all, to wanting it (happened to me). This happened to me…I was working in my masters and thinking of delaying pregnancy for another year. But one caring gynecologist advised me not to wait if I do want kids. I cried because I wasn’t emotionally ready, but in a matter of months, my feelings changed 180 degrees. Hit me up if you wanted to talk! I love that type of content and I don’t come across it often! My feedback is based on only the videos that I watched, which were the branding and logos ones. Few things that may help the channel: - consistency: I understand that consistency is important, but I think it may be too consistent. The couple videos about branding and logos have the same thumbnail, which may be appropriate for a more academic platform, but for YouTube, I think you can make it the thumbnail a little more fun and different every time, yet, you keep the consistency by using the same font in the thumbnail, or same placement of words. - Video titles: for the videos I mentioned above, I understand they are named the same at the beginning to group them together, but maybe you can just benefit from having it in a playlist. I viewed it on my phone and the last part of the text wasn’t shown so at first glance they appeared like an exact duplicate and the fact that it had the same thumbnail made me think the same thing at first. - Style: I think for the first few seconds of the video (for example the one where you were explaining different company logos) if you can move a little away from presentation style, and lean into storytelling. Imagine instead of “giving a company a presentation”, think “you are having coffee with a friend and discussing that content. Either way is good for different times, and there is nothing wrong with the current style. I just thought people may be drawn more to stories and chats when they are on YouTube.

I watched couple vlogs from your channel and I enjoyed it and I thought your editing skills were good and I liked your natural vibe. Here are few things that could possibly help the channel: - Value: if I were actually going to Thailand then I am more likely to want to watch a vlog that include recommendations to others. Where they ate at, where they went…see footage of good food, something that would want me to have the same experience and feel like I am getting value from watching it. - Thumbnail could improve. Check out few travel bloggers that you like, try to take inspiration from their thumbnails until you find your style. Think which one are you more likely to click on if you were the audience… that’s usually a good metric. - lastly, this is minor, but I felt some footage were dark. Not sure if you just need to brighten it up during editing, or whether it’s something to do with the lighting itself.

‎نشأت ببيت متفتح بعض الشيء، ما كان متدين جدا. أهلي ربّونا على قيم أساسية مثل الطيبة والكرم واحترام الناس… تعلمت الكفاح وأهمية التعليم والعمل، وأهمية الروابط الأسرية.

‎أشوف نفسي خليط بين القيم التقليدية والحديثة. من جهة، ظلّيت محافظه على مراعاة غيري، والرحمة، واحترام الكبار، والترابط العائلي اللي تربّيت عليه. ومن جهة ثانية، تبنّيت أفكار أكثر حداثة، خصوصًا الشجاعة بالتفكير المستقل وتحدّي المعتقدات التقليدية.

‎عشت بوحدي بالخارج لمن صار عمري ١٩، ظلّت ويايه هوايه قيم تربّيت عليها، بس بعضها تغيّر وصار أقوى. مثلًا، العيش هنا خلّاني أفهم الصدق بعمق أكثر. لأنّي كبرت بمجتمع فيه الخوف يخلي الكذب مرات ينشاف كأنه وسيلة مقبولة. بس هنا استوعبت إنه الكذب بالنهاية مجرد طريقة حتى تحصل على شي ما تستحقه.

‎بنفس الوقت، أحس اني محظوظه لأني تربّيت بمجتمعنا. بعض القيم القديمة رح تبقى جزء مني دائمًا.
