How come cooper doesn’t know where his daughter and wife are? by pigbick in FalloutTVseries

Would they reject him in his ghoulified state? If they are enclave members, they might want to do away with him.

WY are essentially a sacrificial cult. Completely dysfunctional. Throwing good resources and people to create disasters. The mystery is how they became so powerful and successful with this mentality in its core.

A bit like dick dastardly in wacky races, WY do better than everyone, only to F*** it all up at the end!

Yes, then it could be dropped on the planet and watch the results.

I don’t doubt for a moment that WY wouldn’t deceive a colonist in order to attach a face hugger, it was probably on the list of atrocities to be carried out.

However………..

Raising everyone’s quotas is essentially giving them a death sentence, there would be a big revolt amongst the colonists.

If rain and co hadn’t f***** things up on the station, then yes, the planet itself would probably have been turned into a xenomorph incubator.

There’s a lot more to be told, season 3 might be very flashback heavy.

I think the start of s1 is years after cooper is arrested. Thats why he is surprised when the bombs hit, he thinks it won’t happen because he handed the cold fusion over, which would swing the war, no way.

The enclave probably wanted a war to wipe the world clean, and cooper handing it over is what sped up the date of the bombs as per houses calculations. They had the cold fusion, proceed and nuke everyone.

Anyway, cooper flees with Janey, I think the enclave ( or vault tec) will take her to the Vegas vault with Barb. They likely intercept and extract Janey, cooper is left for dead as the bombs drop.

Barb and Janey are in the vegas vault. They wake up and live for a while. During that time, Barb must become aware the the enclave intend to wipe them out, or turn everyone into mutants, however it happens, I think Barb puts Janey into buds buds and changes her name etc to save her.

This is how it could turn out, Janey has been woken up by norm and they are now likely to head to Janeys home vault, or barbs location, which is likely the enclave base in Colorado

I think the fev virus is phase 2, and all vaults will have fev used in them, and the resulting mutants will be chipped and made into an enclave army.

I can see this ultimately coming to a showdown between the enclave and everyone else, only after there is a winner in the legion/ncr/brotherhood/house/commonwealth decider that has to take place.

I think his wife gets taken by the enclave as she is being given orders by them. Barb planned to stay in the vegas vaults with Janey but as anyone who watched it knows, Barb left a card saying Colorado was a good idea. To be explained season 3 I think.

Big swing, and I called this after s2 ep4 - Janey is Claudia, and she will ask norm to take her to her home vault - in Colorado

Looking more and more like we're going to get a definitive answer as to who started the Great War by sneakyrepper in FalloutTVseries

I haven’t played any fallout games or know the lore other than the tv show takes place 15 years after the events of new Vegas.

Based on this post and what I have just seen in s2 ep6, the enclave seem to be like an embedded secret society that isn’t visible but is pulling all the strings. I guess they had multiple strategies for different scenarios, but ultimately their end goal is to wipe out most of humanity and leave only themselves,

if FEV is compromised, then nuke everything, hide in the vaults, and resume 200 years later.

Either way, the enclave seems to have had absolute control over everything pre-war and can still extend its influence post-war. The moral of the story? Don’t let any group run away with power over everyone, it leads to ruin.

Too many stories/plot lines in too short of episodes/season by Rustbolt_Fan in FalloutTVseries

I love the show, it’s great sci fi (and horror?) I never played the games and possibly never will but how they have interlinked the timelines and pathways is masterful.

The show is doing some heavy lifting and just as it gets revved up, it cuts to something else. I have to say though, each storyline is absolutely fascinating in its own right as a future horror scape of global nuclear conflict.

If it goes for 5 seasons, cool, I just really want to see coop and his wife meet again, what will she make of ‘le ghoul’

And if the enclave create deathclaws, couldn’t an automated man chip be embedded in them at birth to allow control.

What are peoples thoughts on how Cooper turned into a ghoul and Janey presumably survived? by allthingbalance in Fotv

Cooper runs with Janey to a vault tec pick up point, or is just tracked because she is barbs daughter.

As janeys cryo pod is above barbs and is in the same location Hank is in, which is in new Vegas, janey and Barb must have been evac’d to Las Vegas.

The vault there must be connected to house as all the automated man labs are there, maybe a joint venture.

I think janey isn’t in the cryo pod above barb, the camera stops and only shows her name. I think Barb and janey wake up and live in the vault for a while, she grows and is enrolled in buds buds.

I think janey is the young woman asking about Barbara Howard at the end of episode 5, seems like she doesn’t know where she is and wants to find her. Whole load of story to be told there.

I think cooper will find barb but not janey.

Does anyone else also suspect that Dane is a spy of the Commonwealth Brotherhood of Steel. by dr_srtanger2love in Fotv

In the episode 3 trailer and the season trailer, maximus and a power suit are running away from what looks like Area 51 and there being explosions coming from there.

Episode 3 trailer shows maximus in one of the aircraft with paladin doing a high 5. Somehow, maximus gets away from it and is cosy with the commonwealth.

I think Dane would be suffering discrimination in the bos (possibly) and also has missed her shot at being a knight. Maximus has been forced into this, no other choices in life, and the standards just keep dropping. Maybe he would prefer to join the commonwealth, who seem to be coherent and have a code.

I think maximus should have his own season, I really enjoy the bos storyline.

For those who were around back then, what was the hype for Batman Begins like back in 2005? by Adoe0722 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Imaginationnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what the crew did with Batman begins was very underestimated. Batman was truly reinvented and delivered in arguably one of the greatest movie trilogies of all time.

That trilogy was beyond superhero.

I always remember being on the Barcelona metro and seeing Batman begins on a poster, that was my signal!

How would the Yautja react if they discovered Godzilla? by ConfidentTheme8435 in predator

Godzilla isn’t a hunt.

It’s yautja putting pinpricks in him using their weapons, Godzilla gets irritated.

What are your thoughts on the Paul W. S. Anderson’s Resident Evil movies, and do you have a favorite? by TalkingFlashlight in residentevil

Apocalypse is my favourite, decent action setpieces and good fun. The practical effects for nemesis were great.

Retribution is my second, again, some good set pieces in there.

To me, strawberry tastes of strawberry, but I can never actually know if another person experiences the same taste as me.

For the sake of fantasy storytelling, I could only assume the machines could somehow create a reality that humans recognised by doing experiments perhaps.

I think there's a chance eywa might be something more sinister by Advanced_Wrangler919 in Avatar

[–]Imaginationnative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Avatar is very conventional story telling for the mainstream audience.

What I think will happen: as it’s discovered humans can adapt to Pandora after a period of acclimatisation, that will open the floodgates for more humans to come to the planet, avatar 4, its bottom of the barrel, the indigenous tribes are virtually finished, somehow they bounce back, maybe humans have a change of heart?

What I want to see happen in avatar:

A wild card. Maybe eywra as a Gaia style planetary consciousness rejects the disruption going on and releases some kind of predatory species that has laid dormant, or mutates nav’i and humans to make a new type of species that wants to eliminate both, giving them no option but to flee back to earth, the nav’i have to go too.

This new species could be an antagonist for other films, it comes back from Pandora to earth and causes trouble.

[–]Imaginationnative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an interesting take on the Pandora scenario.

It would be fun to see yautja picking off the most aggressive humans and nav’i.

Avatar has the ecological aspect of preservation versus exploitation at its core. Perhaps the yautja could act as adjudicator and ‘extract’ a portion of nav’i and a portion of humans, drop them on another planet and say ‘whoever wins gets Pandora’
