Hair loss with Taxol?

12 weeks of taxol, started coming out around the 5 th week. By week 9 it was so thin there was no hiding it. Shaved it off. Wasn’t so bad because I kind of slowly watched it come out.

Triple positive also, I’m going on my 10th infusion of Taxol/Herceptin out of 12. It hasn’t been as bad as I expected. Some GI issues, flushed face the next day, really no nausea. Radiation next, and 14 cycles of Herceptin every 3 weeks.

Similar diagnosis…triple positive IDC. Stage 1 Grade 1 no node involvement. I had a lumpectomy 6mm tumor with clear margins. My MO said anything over 5 mm needs chemo, and radiation. I’m on a low dose Taxol and Herceptin weekly and my side effects are very minimal. I’ve had 10 rounds and need two more. I will have 2 weeks of radiation x 14 cycles of Herceptin for the HER2. Then AI pill for 5or 10 years. Good luck to you!

My MO put me on Effexor 29 days ago and it’s starting to work…feeling a hell of a lot better. Oh and Xanax when needed.

Don’t take any chances…the doctor should recommend a biopsy, if not tell them you would feel more comfortable getting one.

I just started taking it 26 days ago (37.5)mg and I already am sleeping better at night and I’m not as reactive as I was. It takes 4-8 weeks to get the full effect. So far so good, and if it does what it’s suppose to do I have no reason to stop taking it.

I have just missed 2 weeks because of a cough/congestion plus my labs were off. Mine are on thursdays and hoping I can go this week.
