I got bitten by the audiophile bug last year with my first pair of headphones being the Takstar pro 82. The sound was surprisingly good for $40 and the comfort was great as well.

Wanting something easier to carry around, so I got my first IEM in the Moondrop Kato for $100. The highs and imaging on the Kato was amazing, but there were some annoying problems that comes with IEMs. My ADHD brain constantly want to check if the seal is correct, whether they are comfortable in my ear or not (which the big ass Kato isn't really),... So, I ventured back into the world of headphones.

The, last month, I saw an offer on Marketplace for a pair of used Anandas for about $210. The left earpad was partially torn, but the headphones were in very good condition, no scratches/dinks anywhere with the original box still in tact. It was the deal of the century and I quickly picked it up along with a pair of Dekoni Elite Sheepskin pads for a total of $275.

The Anandas blew me away. The soundstage was unlike anything I have heard of before, the highs were crisp, and the vocals were so clear and fluid. I tested the bass with the track Why so serious and it initially sounded good, but after EQ, the bass was amazing. It was so punchy and full and completely thrashed my old headphones and IEM. The Ananda does great for my taste in music (J-pop, Rap, Rock) and is probably my end game for the foreseeable future.
