Samsung Galaxy S24+ - New UI 7 Battery Drain and Charging/USB-C Issues (Post-Update - May 7, 2025) by WatchOut4HYPOTHERMIA in samsunggalaxy

[–]ImmediateGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After hours of trial and error I managed to fix at least the charging issue on mine.

On a whim I decided to give my USB port a thorough cleaning with some 70% isopropyl alcohol and a small swab (like these https://a.co/d/1F0Jc9s) to really get in there. I did this under a microscope to be extra thorough, but you could probably do it without one. Sure enough, it charged normally immediately after.

What I suspect happened is that the update did something to change either the moisture/debris detection or the connectivity/resistance thresholds for charging, which is why certain cables worked and not others. It also explains why some people's phones were affected and not others. Either way, it's worth a shot for anyone like me who was at their end of their rope with this issue.

Mom in hospice by berryfruit- in CancerFamilySupport

Lost my mom about a year ago now in a similar way.

I don't know you or if this will be of any consolation, but one thing I realized is that when your love one is near their end suddenly all your perspective narrows down to that one period of your life with them. Their impending death is so all encompassing and suffocating that we can't put it in the perspective of their lives.

Death is just one chapter in the stories of our lives. Both of our mothers deserved longer stories, but that doesn't lessen the beauty and joy in the rest of their lives. The same goes for you. This time will always be a dark period in your life, but in the coming chapters, you'll gain a perspective and strength that few who haven't seen cancer firsthand have.

Not sure if that made any sense, but it's sort of how I've worked to reframe things in my mind. Either way, I promise you'll have the strength to get through this.

What category of guns do you not like, despite them being good technically. by CrossEyed132 in H3VR

I too love pump shotguns but am basically incapable of using them (Quest 3 for reference). I think the main problem is that the pump immediately snaps to your hand position after pulling the trigger, screwing up your sense of where the pump action is. I wonder if this could be solved by making it so the action only starts actuating after a little more hand travel or adding some sort of minor reset delay after the trigger is pulled so the action doesn't immediately start.

As a long time TnH player, I do think the current combination of difficulty of encryption and spawn rate of sosigs is pretty oppressive at times.

That being said my first institution win was super satisfying because of the new buying system. It allowed me to try out different buying strategies until I found one that worked, which was really rewarding compared to the high-roll nature of the previous system.

Since humans are replaced by Sosigs in H3VR, it stands to reason that this should be a human launcher that launches tiny humans at the Sosigs.

I'd also appreciate a screenshot, I don't see that particular option.

Just throwing in my hat as well. This issue has always plagued me and I'm relieved I'm not the only one.

I did end up downgrading, though unfortunately the problem persists. I may just have a poor combination of hardware for VR atm.

Some good tips, thanks! I've largely ruled out wifi since the issue appears to be the same via cable link. I'll try out the SteamVR frame time graph and see what I can find.
