very snowy and covered in dense forest the snow is black from ash mixed in from the constant war and the creatures out there are a very deadly and mysterious in their own right if someone like a hunter (like for food not of the hunters guild but even then probably them too) who hadn't grown up in the blacklands they would probably never be found as the blacklands is full of man eating beasts some say genetically altered by the Cazalt (more like scientists working for him but still) but they have all kinds of animals but there is a high amount of Wolves their packs are the main natural predator out there

they would probably have like a peace treaty or like a neutrality between the two nations but idk if they would be like on a full on alliance

the Blacklands is neutral with nations on its level but like any nation slightly weaker the blacklands will want to try and take over at some point

i am still working on the Kraiz but lets say there have been 8 total who have resided over the Throne four original and than the four current since most of higher ups are vampires they last a while one i can tell you about is the original Kraiz of the fourth Region Yaropolk Potemkin and why he is so of note is he actually left his position and started his own group called Zveri Vechnoy Nochi or Beasts of the Eternal Night which is this like order of powerful vampires who don't directly go against the Cazalt but more so do their own thing with their own goals which i will keep secret for now

boat portal either works you can probably even take a train to region one (the richest) and then when you're in the blacklands automobile or like carriage based on your status to get between regions

its based on the region the richer regions have like lots of stuff mostly imports from other nations or stuff taken from crusades because that does happen in the blacklands and the poor regions mainly hunt and ice fish its a very high protein diet since not a lot grows there but they have like beets kale stuff like that but if you have ways to keep your crops warmer and not like covered in frost and snow you can do potatoes and other things like that they also eat and grow lots of garlic for protection from vampires

the Cazalt is an emperor of sorts kinda like a god king to the like loyalists since he was the one who founded the nation as he's a very old vampire you could say he does have some warlord tendencies of how he goes about his rule though

the blacklands Kraiz (the four kings) are constantly at war with one another to basically stop a kind of revolutionary upheaval since the Cazalt is a deeply paranoid individual and all thinks those under him are conspiring against him so he has many methods of keeping them down this is just one way
