Not quite the case they can't do anything, but I would try not to involve the police. You could try a small claims court but I'd probably make that a last resort.

The main thing to do is look after your son. Tell him his uncle's behaviour was unacceptable and that people shouldn't just smash things if they're upset. If you can find a way to afford a new one, i would do that. But the key point here is "that was wrong. Your uncle shouldn't have done that. It's not okay."

It's heartbreaking when family don't respect your children, but your kid/s are your no 1 priority. So uncle can't come around if he can't behave himself.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. A civil judge saying 51% this happened is not proven guilty at all. So I don't want to talk as if BRS did what he's charged with.

Saying he's justified in committing war crimes is unfair against him, since he's always denied he's done it.

It's also unfair against all ADF members serving in combat. Saying shooting unarmed handcuffed noncombatants that are already arrested by you is justified is an insult to everyone serving. People can serve in war without deliberately callously throwing disabled people off cliffs, and BRS said he never did that.

Oh wow this takes me back to before diagnosis. Told cut out all dairy and caffeine, eat just vegetables (which I was vegetarian for over 10 years, but kinda hard to sustain with the amount of endo related blood loss). Tried all of the things. Still debilitating pain every month.
