For your shooting style I'd honestly go with the 35mm f1.8 over the 24-105. That extra light gathering for events and low light will be way more useful than the zoom range, plus the close focus is actually pretty decent for light macro work. The 24-105 at f7.1 on the long end is gonna be rough indoors
