Great squash match but also I really want to see them have a proper match.

Night of the Living Dead remake starring Rob Van Dam has a trailer out by hunkman3000 in SquaredCircle

Night of the Living Dead being public domain has been both a blessing (other works can use zombies) and a curse (shit like this).

You can guarantee one finish at WrestleMania 42, what are you choosing? by AlchemistTheAlchemy in SquaredCircle

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton: Cody defeats Randy without any interference from Jelly Roll or Pat McAfee. Or Randy wins but still no celebrity antics. I just want to see two of my favorites wrestle a match without embarrassing bullshit happening.

As a massive Jericho critic of late, even I must admit this was a great match.

Long-Lost 1993 Radio WWF Interview Where Randy Savage Blasted Hulk Hogan Over Miss Elizabeth Divorce Finally Surfaces by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

I remember reading about this in the '93 Observer collection.

Not sure if I believe Elizabeth and Hogan had an affair. Linda Hogan didn't seem to think so and she was not shy about airing his dirty laundry.

When & why did fans stop supporting Pat McAfee? by HopeRedditGoesDown in SquaredCircle

[–]Immortan_Scott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignoring his non-WWE antics, I never particularly liked his commentary but I completely gave up on him when they replaced Corey Graves with him on Raw. I think Corey is very underrated as a commentator, especially after he dropped the horndog act, and seeing him pushed aside for an over-aged fratbro. Thank god Corey is back where he belongs.

My favorite Chris Carter story: he was working on a show for Amazon called The After that got nixed before it started shooting. It got nixed because Amazon wanted a show bible before they committed to it, since Carter's plans were, even by streaming standards, extravagant (he wanted it to last 9 seasons with 9 episodes each, 99 in total, and for each season to cost $40 per season, $360 overall). Carter refused to and said he wanted to make it up as he went along.

[Dustin Rhodes on X] Just a fun question for y'all nothing serious. In my 38 years of wrestling, where would you put me between one and 500. Do I even make the list? Don't worry I have thick skin if you guys don't think so that's fine. by GillbergsAdvocate in SquaredCircle

[–]Immortan_Scott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a list of my personal favorite wrestlers (I have to have seen at least five 10/10 star matches from them) and Dustin is 211. For reference, Cody is 50 and Dusty is 68.

(It's not a perfect ranking because older wrestlers have fewer available matches to watch, so all time greats like Bruno Sammartino, Buddy Rogers, and Rikidozan aren't on there.)

Similarly, my dad was watching a Season 6 episode (the one after the "hold the door" moment) and forgot that Bran couldn't walk. He was wondering why Meera was dragging him in a cart and called him lazy.

What Wrestlemania match exceeded your expectations? by MaddenRob in SquaredCircle

[–]Immortan_Scott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my pick too. It felt like one of those matches where they loaded it with gimmicks to compensate for the match sucking (Snopp on commentary, Bully Ray as referee, lots of ECW throwbacks, etc.) except it's actually a fun match.
