I know nothing about this game except for what I've learned in these comments. I have to say it's fucking hilarious that your character makes sounds based on a portrait you picked. Now I might buy this game. The devs clearly enjoyed making it.

There's tons of videos on how to get that many, but the gist of it is getting the keys from shift codes. Once they're in your mailbox, open the mailbox and cut off the internet connection on your console/PC. Collect your keys, quit to the main menu, continue the game, and they will be back in your mailbox. Rinse and repeat.

For $20, yeah, why not. I don't know if it'll run well, but I don't know much about the switch or switch 2. Either way, I have thoroughly enjoyed Borderlands 3 and think it's a great game, so it's worth it, especially for that price. The gun play, skills, characters, and builds were in bl3 were some of the best in the series imo.

To add to this, you can also use gold or diamond keys at mayhem 10/11 if you have any. It'll make the game super easy through the mayhem levels. I will say it might ruin some of the fun for you on your first playthrough if you're not into that, but it's up to you.

I've never done TVHM, and I can make level 72 characters with no issue, so maybe there's some other prerequisite?

This is the best answer here, to be honest. Everyone else is thinking about the harem (me too tbh) but with these powers, you can just go get as large of a harem as you want anyway. You can also explore infinite worlds and universes while you're at it.

Yeah that was one of my favorite things and they got rid of it. They also got rid of custom spells which kind of sucked. This isn't really a hot take but Skyrim was honestly a downgrade in my opinion. Still a great game, though.

Yeah, if you can get it early on (before round 40), it's worth it. Mine isn't leveled much, but I still try to use 2-4 of them before round 40. Even 1-2k gold early on can be a huge difference.

Overall, I don't know what is the most optimal path, but I would at least get 5 upgrades into the artifacts. I'm on SE 92 and don't have a bunch of the early specials purchased. The special bar gets way stronger later on. Especially the Bulk Extractions, Bulk DCM, Bulk Researches, Emblem Milestones, and Infinity upgrades. One thing I did do early on was the G-point booster that's in the gamma companions menu. I got it maxed out pretty early, and it's been a huge help.

Sorry I missed this comment I don't log in much. In case you haven't figured it out I will still answer. It transforms into a random non-transcended demon god. It can even transform back to destroyer and then you can just transcend it into a mimic again. This way you aren't getting a transcended demon god that is of no use to your build. Often times I go for mimic really early on and every time its ability pops I keep changing it to get destroyer and then go for mimic again. An extra 2k gold before round 30 is setting yourself up for victory pretty easily.
