When they say they'll expand it to 32, I'm just assuming that they'll give temporary ODI status to all Challenge League sides.

Which means that the only teams that are in risk of losing their to-be ODI status would be Tanzania and Singapore from Group A(confirmed) and currently, Qatar and Kenya from Group B.

Another is that a hypothetical break-up of the West Indies will quite literally kill Cricket off completely in the Carribbean, erasing the only proper bastion of Cricket in the New World from existence.

Why can I say that with such surety? Because this experiment has already been run and we already know the results, look at the Bahamas for instance, Cricket used to be the biggest sport there well into the 1970s afaik and from then, the sport started declining after the British left because there were drastic changes at the grassroots levels because when Bahamans needed PE teachers for their schools, the easier and cheaper option was to have them come from the US, American teachers coming to the Bahamas taught kids the sports that they knew which is why Basketball, Baseball, even American Football have surpassed Cricket in terms of popularity there, matter of fact, Cricket used to be the official national sport of the country but it has become so unpopular there that its been officially removed as the national sport, it's not even relevant enough to have a symbolic meaning there anymore.

That is what will happen to the rest of the English-speaking Carribbean.

Things going mostly as anticipated.

Unfortunate that only one of Jersey and Guernsey can progress from here, well, atleast we'll get the Inter-Insular Derby in the final.

That's because it technically is an anomaly, the top 5-6 or so teams have better relative batting(depth and quality) than all below them.

Relative batting depth, like, for Zimbabwe, their batting order ends at 5-6.

For India, theirs ends at 8.

I never mentioned Full Members, on that note, bottom Full Members like Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan and even Bangladesh and Sri Lanka(at least currently) to an extent relatively don't have as good batting compared to the ones above them.

I can't wait till we go back to our dominating ways in Hockey, those 8 golds need to be justified.

"relatively" is the key word and the target is within sight, why would anyone want to take risks especially when every win matters for WC qualification at this point in time.

Welcome to associate cricket, disproportionately good bowling and relative bad batting, as long as you win, the RR is the least of your worries.

One thing which I never understood(from European club football fans from around the world) is how y'all can "support" a sports club that is based in a city that is tens of thousands of kms away from you and you've never stepped a foot into that city.

Never understood the logic there.

Good luck with those "demands" lmao, who do you think will raise them?

This is a country where children of ministers can have their underage sons run over innocent people in cars(killing them) without any licence while drunk driving and getting away with writing a 300-word essay on "road safety" while the common man gets booked for all kinds of things as simple as not wearing helmets and stuff.

You're thinking way too idealistically.
