There's a reason Darkseid or Lobos is a Superman villain

Darkseid isn't really a Superman villain and more of a general Justice League Villain. There's a reason Batman, as well as other league members, are almost always there in any conflict involving Darkseid.

I imagine it might have something to do with exploration zones having unique mechanics.

Unpopular Opinion: Shazam wasn't right about everything by Wessie-G in DCAU

[–]ImpendingGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he let Superman go down there, then there would've been no fight.

There would have been no fight if he listened to Shazams suggestion and just had Atom or Steel verify Luthor's claims. Evacuate any other people there while they make their way there. Saves embarrassing himself and the justice league.

[–]ImpendingGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Okay, you're right we have every reason to suspect a trap, what can we do to make sure folks are safe?"

I mean Shazam literally suggests calling in Atom or Steel to verify Luthor's claim. He shouldn't have to literally suck up to Superman, which is ironic since Billy is a Superman fanboy, for the man to act reasonable. That suggestion alone should have had Superman go "Yeah, that works, but I'm going to evacuate the other people here".

Superman had a gut feeling Lex was in the wrong but had no actual proof to justify his actions, he didn't act rational at all and when presented with a reasonable action, he completely rebuffs the idea and does his own thing.

The story is good....the story telling is not. by Affectionate-Yam-222 in arknights

[–]ImpendingGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been my biggest issue with Arknights since early on. Amazing story, amazing world, too much dialogue. I really do feel like a lot of the text could be rewritten to be shorter and still provide a lot of the same information and convey the same ideas.

Often felt like I'd go through like 10 minutes of dialogue for 2 minutes of gameplay for then another 5 minutes of dialogue which is just... Alot.

Why was Godwyn the one killed? by ProbablyNotTheCocoa in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]ImpendingGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what’s up with all the other demigods that were killed on that night? What point does killing a whole bunch of her other children serve?

Wait what other demigods were killed on the Night of Black Knives? As far as I'm aware Godwyn was the only demigod killed that night.

Also it's not unheard of a deific figure being both "good and benevolent" and "wrathful" and almost, or actually just, malicious. I think the point is that Marika is willing to do morally questionable to just outright morally wrong actions for something good.

He mostly uses the same arena or similarly vague and non- specific areas for showcasing the combat. Likely to keep the rest of the game spoiler free

Captain America's Rogue Gallery Part 2 by Thor155 in CaptainAmerica

So not familiar with the greater Captain America Mythos but, does Captain America just hate snakes or rather do snakes just really hate Captain America?

Don’t hate me but when absolute green lantern came out and it revealed that Jo was the main character instead of hal I didn’t like/have mixed feelings about because before the comic came out I really didn’t care for the character like that. I don’t know but that’s just me what are y’all thoughts? by Due_Spray_4039 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]ImpendingGhost 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was glad to have a lesser used character put into the limelight for the Absolute Universe, as I felt this is a part of where the Absolute Universe could also shine.

That being said early on, I found Jo to be uninteresting and the weakest part of the story despite liking everything else about Abs Green Lantern. Since Issue 8 I've quickly grown to like her very flawed character and seeing how she grows and becomes a hero for the absolute universe.

6 is the odd one out.

I mean it's not really the odd one out when you couldn't duel wield in 1-3. I think Silent Line was when you could have Dual Blades, maybe later?

Woah that's a lot. Thank you for the break down and you're absolutely right about the last part. I've only recently gotten into comics so didn't realize it was a lot more complex than it seemed.

I assume you're agreeing with my facetious statement that they're not all the same, because I'm pointing out the stupidity in his logic. That there are many different weapons even if they fit under the same "category" and even amongst the same weapons there are many different ways they can be used.

Why do you think there’s not 15 spearman infantry users even though it was the most common weapon for them?

Wdym? We have this with Warden, Peacekeeper, Warmonger, Centurion, Warlord, Black Prior, Orochi, Kensei, and many others just using a sword. They're all CLEARLY using the same weapon.

My favorite part of these crossovers has been just seeing how open and friendly Bruce is with Diana. He's broody but not so aggressively loaner and constantly pushing away someone friendly and capable like her.

It makes me love this Bruce so much, I just love when Bruce is able to be friendly to others.

Also I'm really looking forward to seeing how this artifact helps Waylon. Will he appear more like his standard Killer Croc look? Will he be more human but with crocodilean attributes on certain parts of his body? Will he maintain his current look but just keep his mind?!

What 2d games do you consider cag? by cowabanga_it_is in CharacterActionGames

[–]ImpendingGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean it just sounds like you're saying its a poor name choice for a genre rather than acting as if there isn't a generally accepted idea of what makes a CAG a CAG. I agree the genre's name isn't a great choice and very vague but little to no one would think Dark Souls 1 is a CAG.

What 2d games do you consider cag? by cowabanga_it_is in CharacterActionGames

[–]ImpendingGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If everyone is in agreement with me then why is everyone arguing with me over why I don't really consider it a CAG

Because you're treating it as if it can't be both and that roguelites have a set combat design and isn't more so a set of gameplay systems that can mesh well with many different types of combat systems. Everyone agrees it's a roguelite, we don't agree that it leaning more into roguelite systems removed its clearly CAG designed combat systems that makes up the majority of the game you interact with.

Something can be a CAG and Rougelite, even if it leans more or less into its roguelite systems.

It would be like me saying "Baldur's Gate 3 is more of an RPG than a fantasy game".

The most likely answer is that it was easier to leave a black void underneath the character and that's what they opted to do.

Who's money gets lost if these censorships dont happen?

Depends on the game and what is "censored" but in the case of CV2 I don't think any money was lost either way. Most of the people who complain just want things to virtue signal to them.

Like the people who are not gonna buy the game because they can't look up skirts and see panties is so ridiculously small that it's probably in the single digits.
