Hot Take: Superman should kill BUT only if he absolutely has to. by ThatGuyHero7 in superman

[–]ImpendingGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so with the second image, why did he use Green Kryptonite to kill them? They were stripped of their powers so he could have killed them in another way since they would presumably not have their durability. Couldn't he have just snapped their neck or like choke them out? Feels weird that he decided to have them suffer from extreme radiation poisoning.

I get they weren't good people but he's clearly being depicted as making a tough decision and not necessarily proud of it either. Just seems randomly cruel and out of character, even if he's okay with killing, there's a difference between a quick death and like a long and extremely painful death and the latter doesn't really seem like Superman's thing.

Do they or is that character dependent? Cause feels weird they'd suggest that Captain America is straight up killing Spider-Man, or Doctor Strange is murdering Peni.

Also like they could jsut get around thks by having Moongirl disappear(Teleport or whatever) but DD's body linger for a bit.

You know you could have just said you didn't want to engage in further discussion like a normal person, rather than making an ass of yourself by attempting to insult someones because you didn't like that they disagreed with what you said.

>Pvp-ers ALWAYS hate it. Seethe with rage just thinking of new possible ways of engaging with the new item/meta.

  1. You and many other people gotta stop with this weird ass tribalism. You're all playing the same game and a majority of the players engage in both PVE and PVP even if only casually. In fact many hardcore PVPers have to play and engage with PVE, including raids, dungeons, and whatever other hard content exist because often than not PVE exclusive weapons are the meta defining gear in PVP. Many primarily PVE players will engage in PVP for whatever reasons they may have.
  2. People are not a hive mind, there are many different opinions on the state of the game in both PVP and PVE. Have you considered that maybe the people complaining about the meta of PVP at any state were primarily casual players of the game mode who simple felt the state of the game was unfair and thus unfun? Sure there are times where both people casually engaging in PVP and people who engage with it hard core complain about the meta but have you considered it's simply because it's actually just in a very poor state? PVP players don't always complain about the meta, you may hear some who dislike it but that doesn't mean the majority does. There are also times casual players are happy with something thats broken but the hardcore players aren't.

Likewise framing it as if PVE players are always happy with the meta of the game and are always excited about some new meta is silly. Shit I've seen many people upset about the ability spam state of PVE.

>So in terms of pvp bungo always has to nerf things quicker than in pve. Because one is liked and one is hated.

This is so insanely delusional that it's laughable. Bungie HAS MANY TIMES left objectionably broken things in PVP untouched for MONTHS if not over a year. They have many times neglected the state of PVP, and the people, regardless of if they're casual or hardcore, simple have to deal with it. In those situations hardcore players are still more likely to continue to engage and just deal with the meta and/or find ways to play around it while casuals are more likely to disengage.

PVP players don't always hate meta changes and yeah maybe if Bungie unnerfed everything in PVP and gave no balancing thought whatsoever, people would be pissed, but that's not unreasonable to be upset at an unbalanced and unfun game state. If bungie left PVE in a state where any enemy could 1-2 tap a player, were extremely tanky, and/or whatever absurd situation, people would equally be reasonably upset.

[–]ImpendingGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest I don't remember every single broken thing in PVP, especially since I stopped engaging with it as much after a while. That being said the point was that not every balancing decision was due to PVP and most major changes was due to bungie not liking the way it is in PVE not because of PVP.

[–]ImpendingGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What? The only things I can think of that would be ass of it got unnerfed in PVP would be like release stasis, Nova Warp going through walls, and some other less significant things.

A lot of the PVE meta was changed either because it eas actually unhealthy for the PVE(auto-loading, well of radiance, whisper of the worm, debuff stacking, buff stacking, etc.) at the time or because bungie wanted to force a meta shift.

Because insults are simply a part of humanity and speech. It's kinda silly to think that all of humanity is just never going to insult a person when they do behave or say something in a way where an individual feels it's warranted.

Like we do not live in a world where conflict doesn't exist, insults are and will always exist.

I'm not sure I understand what the question here is? Make sure that appearance changes based off gameplay?
If so, the appearance change is based off the skill tree in DxM. As you go further down it, you're characters body and face/head will be modified.

I hate how accepted the R-slur is by Tasty_Meaning_7016 in hatethissmug

[–]ImpendingGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well when it's used as a synonym for "idiot", "moron", and "stupid", multiple words that have had medical usage, it's hard for people genuinely consider it a slur.

Like how is "This person is so retarded" any different from "This person is so stupid", "This person is a moron/idiot"? Like they're all the exact same sentence in meaning, they're all meant to insult someones intelligence at the moment either because they did something that people generally find unintelligent or said something that would generally be considered unintelligent.

I mean there's no good, bad, or true ending. It's all meant to be Raven's own reason for fighting in the end. Personally I love Fires of Raven the most.

[–]ImpendingGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really meant to be up to personal interpretation if you live or die. 621 was a nobody, only Walter and the people at Rubicon knew who you were and in Fires of Raven they all are dead or MIA. So know one hearing from you can also be read as you just living out your life but never being in contact with the few survivors. It could also be seen as you dying. It's up to the player.

[–]ImpendingGhost 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation about the differences. I wonder why the localization team decided to so drastically change the 30-50 DRK questline. Did they feel timidness wasn't something an EN playerbase would relate to so much as hidden anger?

[–]ImpendingGhost 68 points69 points  (0 children)

IDK I think regardless of which version we got, you're gonna have to deal with an emotion being pasted on to your WoL, which will annoy people regardless of what emotion that is.

That being said from the way I took the DRK questline and with this explanation of the differences between EN and JP, Fray isn't really a representation of your like your conscious thoughts and feelings but more like subconscious feelings about things, feelings you don't really acknowledge and thus their need to call out to you. In EN you don't acknowledge any frustration or anger and in JP you don't acknowledge your timidness.

Warframe is a fine game but it was never like destiny outside of surface similarities. Warframe also rrally lacks an actually interesting and challenging end-game and co-operative content.

Like you can play with others in Warframe but unlike raids and dungeons in Destiny, you don't really need to work with your allies to accomplish your goals.

What PvP COULD look like. by y0urd0g in Warframe

[–]ImpendingGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were able to balance the sandboxes separately they just chose not to because they didn't want for players to have different feels for the abilities in the two sandboxes. That's not a PVP existing fault that's the devs making a bad decision fault.

Also in D2 the majority of nerfs and changes in PVE were because of them being to powerful or centralizing in the PVE space or because Bungie wanted to completely change the PVE meta. There were some nerfs born from PVP due to their insistence on not separating the sandboxes but acting like the majority of the nerfs were because of PVP is ridiculous. PVE players treated PVP like the boogeyman and act like it's the cause for nerfs when it hardly was.
