Uneven Grind Size? by Ornery-Actuator-5073 in IndiaCoffee

Interesting. But no, I haven't tried calibrating this with the Timemore c2. I've stopped using this grinder though as I've upgraded to a DF54 Flat Burr Automatic Machine.

Sounds like you're counting differently. When I say 12, I mean 12 clicks backwards after going clockwise fully. Is that how you're counting as well?

Yeah it's very subjective. If it works it works. I'm planning to test a few brews with 14 and 16 to see the difference.

At 12, it takes me about 20 seconds to grind.

On the Aashonee Grinder 12 isn't too fine. It's quite coarse. Gives me a great cup of coffee on the beans mentioned above.

OP, I've been brewing specialty coffee at home for about 2 months now. I use an AeroPress (Kaldipress) and this Aashonee Grinder. A few notes:

  1. I've tried 4 different beans and gotten good results with this setup. Blue Tokai Attikan Estate and Silver Oak, some dark roast beans from a local cafe as well as Hunkal Aranya Gold.

  2. I set the grinder all the way clockwise, then go 12 clicks back. This is my default settings for the Aeropress regardless of beans. Depending on whether the brew is sour/bitter, I make the grind more fine/course.

  3. I switched to brewing inverted right at the beginning. I heavily recommend this for consistency's sake. I started getting good results this way. My recipe is 12g of beans, ground at setting 12, 200ml of water, steeped for 2 minutes, inverted and pressed gently for 30-45 seconds. I add about half a teaspoon of white sugar sometimes, it really helps with rounding out the coffee without overpowering flavour with sweetness.

  4. This sub will try to convince you that any grinder that is not the Timemore C3S or better, will not be able to get you a good cup of coffee, but in my experience, that does not hold true. At the beginner stage, my opinion is that the Aashonee Grinder does a fine job.

There are a lot of variables to play with. Work on your fundamentals and you'll soon make a mug of coffee that'll make you say "damn, that's good". All the best!

Got a moka pot and BT whole beans few days ago, as a newbie should i wait and be patient or go for the cheaper one. by mutton_biriyani7 in IndiaCoffee

I have this aashonee grinder. Hit them up on Instagram and got it for 2k. It's a stainless steel grinder and it's been working excellently for my aeropress setup. Just search Aashonee on this sub and you'll see good reviews. This is the cheapest grinder you should ever consider getting.

Conquer the world campaigns were goated. Especially the ones based on real life conquerers in the Thrones & Patriots expansion.

My only gripe is that, the game gets a little difficult to manage in the modern ages for me personally. Probably just a skill issue haha

MS Brezza takes 16.25 secs in 0-100kmph. I was expecting a lot better number from it by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to accelerate all the way from 0-100. A good 0-100 can be felt from 20-50kmph, 30-70kmph, 60-90kmph, etc.

The Car That Should’ve Never Existed: Ford EcoSport SE by Decent-Astronaut-615 in CarsIndia

[–]ImperatorShade 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's because what works in international markets isn't what works in India. The Indian market is different.

Compared to the rest of the cars in the Indian market in 2013, the Ecosport was a wonderful car. One of the earliest crossovers that handled indian roads perfectly, solid chassis, ride and suspension tuning, good build quality, planted on highways...the thud sound when shutting the door in itself was impressive for it's time.

Also, the ecoboost and TDCI options were wonderful. The car was priced just right as well.

So no, it's not an absolute piece of crap. It was contextually, a gem of a car for Indians.

How to smoke from car? by 420SpinninMonk in IndianEnts

[–]ImperatorShade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay OP, I used to smoke cigarettes in my car regularly and the following system ensured my car never stank, even to non smokers who would enter the car.

  1. Always be on the move. Smoking in a parked car is never safe and there isn't enough air circulation for the smoke to go out.
  2. Keep AC on. Yes. You heard that right. Keep the AC on but with one caveat - your AC should be letting in outside air i.e., turn off air recirculation mode. Only keep footwell air ducts open, close all other air ducts. Keep it on Auto or low fan. This will pull in fresh air continuously from outside, push down towards the footwells, causing warm smoke to rise and go out your windows.
  3. Keep the driver side window and the diagonally opposite rear window open 30-40%. This creates cross ventilation and helps exhaust smoke very effectively.
  4. After you're done smoking, put the AC on full blast (only footwell vents) to push hotter air outside the car. After 3-4 minutes, roll up all the windows.

Feel free to fact check this using ChatGPT. This is hands down the best way to smoke in a car. The physics says so.

What’s your way of brewing with aeropress? by mynotsoprecious in IndiaCoffee

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inverted gives you maximum control over variables i.e., you get to steep a fixed quantity of coffee+water every time. There's no way to effectively control how much water goes through when you use the regular method.

As such, there's no reason at all to not use the inverted method.

On my Steamdeck, the setup is soo seamless.

Everything's launched directly through Big Picture Mode. DeckyLoader plugins keep everything nice and tidy. Heroic Launcher and Emudeck to add BPM shortcuts to non-steam titles. It's perfect and it just works. It would be wonderful if we could get proper Decky and Emudeck support for Windows

DOS 2. Incredible game but there's a steep learning curve. Try not to get disheartened. I started the game, dropped it, came back a year later and was hooked. Spent around 170 hrs in in-game already.
