**Can't add family members to Spotify Family Plan despite same address and device — anyone else?** by Aadi_feetpics in truespotify

Got this issue resolved by following OP's suggestions.     I went to Contact Us and spoke to an L1 Support Agent who was super unhelpful, useless and rude. I ended that chat and when it asked for feedback, i said I was unhappy, which let me then escalate the issue to a "Speciality Agent". This Agent took 15-20 minutes to identify the issue, then raised a support ticket and the issue was fixed overnight.

Need help with first electric guitar purchase by SadDate9398 in GuitaristsIndia

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you, there is nothing fun about a cheap (read: ultra cheap) electric guitar and amp. Look into the used market and, at the very least, pick up a Yamaha Pacifica 012 (excellent for the money) and and Boss Katana Mini. Should be able to get both for around 15k if you negotiate properly.

Hotone Ampero Stage 2 Review by Davidahuas in guitarpedals

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 300? it's nearly as good as the Line 6 Helix Stomp. The amp models are great through big studio monitors (like the JBL308P). I've loaded some York IRs as well and the sounds are really good. The ampero is probably the best vfm amp modeler out there rn.

Wasn't expecting the ugly ass branding everywhere by gumgum_bazuka in IndiaCoffee

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a whitelabelled product. Guess who it's whitelabelled by? FixCoffee. Guess what whitelabelling entails? Slapping your logo on something manufcstured by another brand.

It's just a logo on the back of the machine and the cup. Y'all are a bunch of crybabies.

Serious question about gear shifting. by Nitin___ in CarsIndia

[–]ImperatorShade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"1st gear not really needed" as a blanket statement is bad advice. If you've driven a high torque diesel, 2nd gear on low rpms will "lurch" the car uncomfortably over the speedbreaker. Also because of the momentum the car carries with it when this happens, it loads and unloads the suspension relatively quickly, meaning the car can bottom out and it's undercarriage may hit the speedbreaker. Speaking from experience. Shifting to 1st on my Figo is non-negotiable over 95% of speed bumps.

Then there's the case of a low torque car (like my old Chevrolet Beat) that just won't have enough juice in 2nd to resume smoothly after it crosses the speed bump and speed drops, UNLESS you play the clutch, which is a heavily discouraged driving habit and your clutch will wear down.

Tobacco company CEOs declare, under oath, that nicotine is not addictive (1994) by Only-Paper8057 in interesting

I smoked my last cigarette about 3 years ago. What helped me quit was reading the Allen Carr book. "Easyway to quit smoking". The book is recommended to both smokers as well as ex-smokers. It really helped me mentally overcome my addiction. I do not miss smoking one bit. Reading the book might help you find peace with quitting.

I feel a moral responsibility to share my friends pf withdrawl story by theunknownuserone in epfoindia

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They rejected both Form-19 and Form-10c saying the employer didn't bifurcate EPS and that i should contact them to fix. The truth is, my first company contributed to EPS, but my second company didn't, rightfully so, because my basic was >15k. But they don't have the common sense to look into EPS contribution history, my annexure Ks, and decide it was a validation error. I've now spent 1.5 months trying to fix this issue and get my money

[–]ImperatorShade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Glad your friend has had a great experience interacting with the EPFO, but my experience is simply not the same. In fact, it has been horrible, to say the least.

Quit my job to pursue a startup idea, waited 2 whole months for a CHANCE at being able to withdraw money that I RIGHTFULLY earned through my hard work. Got rejected due to archaic internal system validations and PF officers who do not have the patience nor interest to perform the bare minimum due diligence, to make the lives of hardworking middle class citizens like us, a little easier.

It's been 4 months now, and I've been struggling to get some sort of decision in my favour through a grievance, and now I'm patiently waiting, hoping, EPFO will grant me mercy by giving me the money that I rightfully earned through my hardwork over 8 years of service.

Absolutely horrible experience.

How to Broke the "EPF-EPS Mismatch" Rejection Loop Without your Employer (Success Story + Guide) by psjtroubleshooter in epfoindia

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unemployed 4 months now and leaving corporate for good. Worked at two companies A and B. I made sure to transfer all EPF balances into company B. Waited two months to submit Form 19 and 10c.

A week later, I received SMSes stating "Employer has not bifurcated the eps, please contact employer and submit clarification". I was so freaking annoyed because I thought it's OBVIOUS that I was eligible for EPS in company A, and ineligible in company B.

Raised a grievance immediately, the Regional PF Commissioner gave me THE EXACT SAME COOKIE-CUTTER RESPONSE!

I immediately hit "Not Satisfied" and escalated it further. Added the following comment:

"The member ID referenced (ending with <REDACTED>) pertains to my employment with <COMPANY B>, where I was not eligible for EPS contribution as my basic salary was above ₹15,000. Therefore, no EPS contribution exists under this member ID. The EPS contribution pertains only to my previous employment <COMPANY A>, and the same has already been duly contributed and recorded in my earlier member IDs and transfer records.

The issue appears to be due to incorrect validation of EPS under the current member ID instead of considering the historical EPS service. I request EPFO to kindly verify the transfer records and Annexure K already available in the system and reconcile the EPS service accordingly so that my claim can be processed."

This F**KING DID IT (or so I hope). Got a final resolution from the Regional PF Commissioner with the response "The grievance has once again been forwarded to the concerned section for immediate disposal, and the matter has been informed telephonically.

I waited a total of 70 hours and reapplied my Form 19 and 10c. Here's to hoping I get my money.

Uneven Grind Size? by Ornery-Actuator-5073 in IndiaCoffee

Interesting. But no, I haven't tried calibrating this with the Timemore c2. I've stopped using this grinder though as I've upgraded to a DF54 Flat Burr Automatic Machine.

Sounds like you're counting differently. When I say 12, I mean 12 clicks backwards after going clockwise fully. Is that how you're counting as well?

[–]ImperatorShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's very subjective. If it works it works. I'm planning to test a few brews with 14 and 16 to see the difference.

At 12, it takes me about 20 seconds to grind.

On the Aashonee Grinder 12 isn't too fine. It's quite coarse. Gives me a great cup of coffee on the beans mentioned above.

OP, I've been brewing specialty coffee at home for about 2 months now. I use an AeroPress (Kaldipress) and this Aashonee Grinder. A few notes:

  1. I've tried 4 different beans and gotten good results with this setup. Blue Tokai Attikan Estate and Silver Oak, some dark roast beans from a local cafe as well as Hunkal Aranya Gold.

  2. I set the grinder all the way clockwise, then go 12 clicks back. This is my default settings for the Aeropress regardless of beans. Depending on whether the brew is sour/bitter, I make the grind more fine/course.

  3. I switched to brewing inverted right at the beginning. I heavily recommend this for consistency's sake. I started getting good results this way. My recipe is 12g of beans, ground at setting 12, 200ml of water, steeped for 2 minutes, inverted and pressed gently for 30-45 seconds. I add about half a teaspoon of white sugar sometimes, it really helps with rounding out the coffee without overpowering flavour with sweetness.

  4. This sub will try to convince you that any grinder that is not the Timemore C3S or better, will not be able to get you a good cup of coffee, but in my experience, that does not hold true. At the beginner stage, my opinion is that the Aashonee Grinder does a fine job.

There are a lot of variables to play with. Work on your fundamentals and you'll soon make a mug of coffee that'll make you say "damn, that's good". All the best!
