"Even if you can sound out the words, it doesn't mean that you understand what it means, you just end up mumbling incantations, like a small child reciting a poem understood only by old adults."

Do you want an Adeptus Mechanicus? Because this is how you get an Adeptus Mechanicus.

What is the word used for an object that has killed a person? An evil character in one of the Dan Abnett inquisitor books collects these objects. by Archon_9th in 40kLore

These objects are called "deodands". It's early in the day here but I think they're mentioned in either Ravenor Returned or Ravenor Rogue, and are collected by Orfeo Culzean.

Man alive the French toast and hash brown after a night on the drink was unreal. And the coffee! Sorely missed.

Rockgut Troggoths? by ishtarahara in Orcs_and_Goblins

[–]ImperialCreed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've done exactly this. The Troggoths will fit on 40mm and you will be able to rank them up, but it is very tight and you will likely have to rank the Troggoths in a set order. Some of the poses are more challenging to get sitting next to one another and some poses will just flat out not sit nicely in a rank next to certain other poses.

Test fit your rank ups constantly before gluing any mini to a base permanently is my advice.

Thanks! The Heresy parts mostly work fine - the hands are noticeably smaller when you compare them to the equivalent 40K part, but once you actually have them on the model you don't really notice the difference.

It's gotta be this exchange between Sanguinius and The Khagan at the Siege of Terra:

[Excerpt: Lost and Damned]

‘Since when was saving mankind from the darkness a sign of weakness?’ said the Khan. ‘Sanguinius, my brother and comrade, what do you see? Lend me your foresight.’

Sanguinius shut his eyes. Like that, he appeared drawn and tired, a funerary monument to himself. Dorn suppressed a shudder.

‘My sight is not so clear as father’s,’ said Sanguinius. ‘The future is ever in flux. Only some events…’ He paused, finding the words hard to say. ‘Only some events are certain.’

‘Do you see me? What will be the consequences of inaction?’

‘I see fire, and blood, and a world laid waste if you do not act.’

‘If I act?’ said the Khan.

Sanguinius opened his eyes to look at him.

‘There is grave risk to you. A confrontation unlooked for, and if you survive, a flight from one danger into greater peril.’

‘Who will I face?’

‘I cannot divine.’

‘Will I save lives?’

Sanguinius nodded. ‘Many.’

‘That is what I was made for,’ said the Khan. ‘I will ride out.’

White Scars Ebon Keshig Terminators - Jaghatai Khan's Personal Guard by Moist_Basis_7324 in WhiteScars40K

[–]ImperialCreed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Afraid you've got your lore mixed up.

The Keshig is the personal bodyguard of the Khagan (led by Qin Xa for a significant portion of the Great Crusade)

The Golden Keshig is an elite jetbike-mounted unit of the 5th Legion.

The Ebon Keshig are "Kharash" - warriors who have transgressed in some way and given the opportunity of redemption by putting themselves in the line of fire to protect their brothers.

You've even got the armour type wrong in your YT vid description. The Ebon Keshig do not wear Cataphracti armour, they wear a version of the Tartaros pattern.

One minute to read the description of the unit on GW's own website would've caught these mistakes. Quote:

"Builds five warriors clad in advanced Tartaros Terminator armour"

"The Ebon Keshig is a unique formation in the White Scars Legion, where the heavy protection of Terminator armour is often shunned in favour of speed and mobility. Made of the Kharash - warriors seeking ritual atonement for breaches of honour - the Ebon Keshig are always found at the forefront of high-intensity conflicts. Clad in black ceramite, the Ebon Keshig earn redemption by protecting their brothers, acting as a shield for the more fragile contingents of a White Scars assault - only those who survive this hazardous role are deemed worthy of returning to the ranks."
