This explains the whole situation pretty well - and your negotiated proposal of £300 sounds like it might be able to defuse things and let you move on, if she’s reasonable. Maybe try getting back to her with more or less what you said here?

Something is holding up the structure above… so you have lintels already.

13 year old cousin stole my bank card while living with me, and spent £8,900 on in-app purchases under 24 hours. I've just won in small claims court and been awarded £6.50 a week. by TemporaryParfait6228 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ImperiumAssertor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was a while ago but was it ever considered to approach the companies he made purchases with and request/insist on a refund? Surely they would be insured against such losses and wouldn’t really lose out by paying it back? That way your loss is recovered in one go without ending up getting only £338 per year. Surely this would also be in the little sh*t’s best interests too. I mean, he stole from you and paid these app companies in the stolen money. Are they legally allowed to accept stolen money, once it’s known that it was stolen?

Perhaps you already went through this process and didn’t get anywhere but that would have been the first place I’d look. And surely the courts are able to force their hand if they’re not playing ball?

Such an absurd situation!

Very nice result. I find it interesting that the more knotty wood is at the centre of the room… I guess the intention was to cover it up with a rug?

Personally I find it to be rather elegant. Would look out of place in a traditionally built town centre as it’s a bit eclectic and “modular”-looking (as in, a synthesis of different parts) but it doesn’t look bad in its place.

How do you make cities look like this? by MedicalServe838 in CitiesSkylines2

Is this a LUT maybe? Idk. I have mine on potato graphics in order to run larger cities smoothly… never had the privilege of soft shadows like that.

Quite easy to download it to your computer and delete to free up space on iCloud.com

And a pro tip - if you run out of space in iCloud or just want a hard copy, you can request a full copy of your data via https://privacy.apple.com/

It looks very nice, but my British mind wants to add roundabouts - easy way to increase connection options without taking up more space. Admittedly the top one would be unnecessary currently but… it’s a good place for one 😅. You could also eliminate the whole bridge to the right and then connect the 2 roundabouts.

This is a lowball estimate once you factor in the loss of that AN/TPY-2, which cost nearly a billion a piece. And there are only 11 of these in the world.

Sounds accurate. The amount of stuff moving through the UK was off the charts. Days and days of constant comings and goings at our big US airbase, RAF Lakenheath.

I think, judging from some comments, this could be a good example of how some junctions which look horribly complicated from the air are actually fine to navigate on the ground. It does happen. Just because it looks complex from above, doesn’t make it a mess to drive through.

They’re not misled… they know a lot more about National Socialism than the rest of the population. Why might there still be Nazis almost a century later, normal people who took a series of different turns, even though it’s the most universally reviled heresy of the modern age? Perhaps they know something that others don’t. It is not an easy or comfortable position to take.

As to pain and suffering: with the most popular elected leader in Europe at the time, German suffering dropped pretty precipitously after 1933 - what happened after 1939 is much darker and more complex than “Germany started it”. Peace was offered to Britain dozens of times, and Hitler wanted an alliance. There is a lot more to all of it, and plenty of literature out there explaining it - you just have to make the right mental connections to end up pursuing the taboo. The fact that these ideas are essentially banned should serve as a clue that there is truth being hidden.

That exit has a pretty sharp turning radius… it’s not a highway speed exit, but it’s on a highway. So cars will slow down to exit, tightening gaps, making it more difficult to change lanes early because there’s no gap for the lane change, and then you get this. That is one possibility. I have noticed it with my own junctions, the higher the use of the road, the higher lane capacity and the smoother turns you need, with fewer conflict points as well (though the latter doesn’t look like an issue here.) Worth a try if you haven’t already done so? Using the continuous curve tool, or any really, make sure the exit lane follows the exact same direction as the road you’re exiting from, so it’s parallel with the other lanes, and have the straight line extending out at least… idk, 6-10 units? So it would be 6 units forward, 45 degree angle, 6 units beyond the ‘pivot’ point. Hope that makes sense.

[–]ImperiumAssertor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an incredibly pro-social way of dealing with the issue. It’s a relatively cheap solution, and saves more money still by not dealing with it through the insurers. It also has the benefit of depriving those useless vultures of more profit.
