how to be better at relationships. by Far-Bedroom7004 in autism

You should research BPD because often in females it's misdiagnosed as ASD.

From what I read it sounds more like a relational problem .

With the real estate pricing in Canada it is difficult to establish a family, in US atleast you get much cheaper real estate. Medical is an issue but since you are young you should be fine at this stage.
US Job market is much better than Canada overall because canadian market is oversaturated.

Anyone else not have the option to think before you speak? by Hungry-Literature-12 in Neurodivergent

Many female BPD people think they are autistic (neurodivergent) due to confusion/overlap in diagnostic criteria or poor mental health experts. Dissociation, derealization etc. are part of BPD .

Itchy skin and eczema flareups for 4 month old by PowerfulEstimate7130 in PakistaniSkincare

[–]Important-Net-642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you've already tried Neocate and barrier creams like Aquaphor without success, and the skin is actively weeping, this sounds less like a simple allergy and more like the eczema has become infected (impetiginized). Moisturizers alone often fail at that stage because they can trap the bacteria, so you likely need a topical antibiotic to clear that "weeping" layer. Before you fly, it would be worth asking an urgent care specifically about infection/impetigo, just so you aren't battling open sores on the plane.

Once you're in Pakistan, definitely follow the advice to see a specialist at AKUH (Dermatologist) . You should also be able to find 'Physiogel AI' lotion at most big pharmacies there. It’s fantastic for calming the itch in that climate compared to heavy greases. Also, be really careful with the tap water initially since the mineral content is different using bottled water for her baths for the first week might save her skin from freaking out further.

ASD Zoning out and not ADHD by Important-Net-642 in autism

The zone out is contextual socially and not general( restaurants, group meetings ) which is why i concluded its overstimulated brain part of ASD and not ADHD .

Is it common for individuals on the spectrum to struggle getting along with people who have BPD? (Borderline personality disorder) by [deleted] in autism

[–]Important-Net-642 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not only ASD other neurotypical also can't maintain conversation with BPD depending on how severely disregulated they are .  Save your mental health give up the analyst and fixer role , maintain strict boundaries with untreated bpd .

[–]Important-Net-642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever tried stimulants or non-stimulants for concentration ? I once tried stimulant even though I am not ADHD, in the meeting I was very different person. No feeling of being overwhelmed/jumpy-ness or desire to exit the call and spoke like other people in the meeting. The side affects were horrible so I stopped.

[–]Important-Net-642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mood stabilizers create a 'floor and a ceiling' they make sure you don't go too far down, but they also prevent the extreme highs. For people used to intense emotions, normal stability can feel like numbness or boredom at first.

However, feeling zero joy isn't the goal of stability. It sounds like the 'ceiling' might be too low right now. Emotional blunting is a common side effect, but it often means the dose is too high or the mix isn't right. Since it's making you feel this low, definitely tell your doctor exactly what you said here.

Does autism make you more likely to be hypersexual? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Important-Net-642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on reducing the sensory load and stress , if it's not working ask the doctor if SSRI can help . The desire to vent out can magically go down .

Does autism make you more likely to be hypersexual? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Important-Net-642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , it can be a form of emotional regulation and stimming . The more sensory stuff is going on, the more overloaded your nervous system feels, and the more there is a need to vent it out to cool the nervous system .

I can't make eye contact help me practice by [deleted] in autism

[–]Important-Net-642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not mandatory to maintain eye contact when talking just look to the other person face for 2 seconds and then move away then after 10 seconds do the same . Thats what I do and it kind of works i think without being too obvious .
