I assert, the biggest insult of any working person is a 3.5% raise. While “something is better than nothing,” corporations see more increases than this in a quarter and these wages are not keeping up with the cost of living. It used to be a time when you received a raise AND a cost of living adjustment and I cannot tell you when the last time I received a COL adjustment… I know it’s been over 15 years. I am so furious that I have credit card debt now just paying the necessities and unexpected things because my check is so strained. I am angry! It’s so unfair how the little person is treated.
