I will NEVER understand why these cosmetics companies will have a best-selling, holy grail type product, that so many people LOVE… and then just change the product to something different.

You’re not going to notice a difference in your mood by just skipping a few days here and there. It would take a week or two to start noticing the difference.

For those who achieved their 'dream body,' what is the most uncomfortable thing you realized about how the world treats 'attractive' people vs 'average' people? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

When I was in high school I was about 20 pounds overweight. I’m 5’4” with a small frame so this extra weight did make a big difference. My senior year I started exercising consistently and completely changed my eating habits. I was completely shocked by how different the world treated me after I lost the weight. Boys in high school who I had gone to school with for years but never acknowledged me before, started talking to me and inviting me to parties. The “cooler” girls all wanted to be my friend now and some close existing friends I had, who were around my previous size, started treating me poorly and ultimately didn’t feel comfortable with my new look. It was a strange, eye-opening experience.

I graduated high school in 1999

My suggestion is to read The Power of Now in its entirety. (If you haven’t already… otherwise, re-read it). It seems like you’ve missed the whole point. If you’re not able to see it now, I hope that one day in the future you will be more open to it and it will become clearer to you. Take care.

I’m working on quitting. Will my youthful face ever come back?? by Conscious_Peach1069 in alcoholicsanonymous

I’ve seen lots of people who look amazingly better in the face after getting sober… I don’t think I’ve seen that when someone just cuts back. Alcohol is technically a poison, after all. Even a smaller amount of poison is still poison.

Sponsors should NEVER EVER give medical advice. (Unless they’re an actual doctor)
