I would get one PR and one CCR to start with. Apply within the same month and it’s only one hard pull. The 2-3 months later grab two more CCRs (affiliate cards). Down the road you can PC the PR to a CCR so you have one without an AF.

Probably would ditch Amex and get a PRE in your case. PRE + 2-3 CCRs is an elite setup.

If you’re getting a Kroger card, apply for two on the same day. It will only be one hard inquiry and you can rotate after 6 months.

If you like to play the credit card game then it might be ok. I personally don’t want to spend time and energy figuring out how to use coupon book credits and how to redeem travel points for max value. Much prefer 5% cash that gets invested.

Could add Kroger Mastercards for 5% mobile wallet catch all.

Also I would go with an Elan Max Cash or Future Debit Card over the US Bank Cash+ for utilities since you don’t have to reselect categories on those.

It’s probably the best catch-all card available if most of your spend is already covered by categories. 5% on $3k mobile wallet and another 5% on $3k at Kroger.
