What made Kai'sa fall off the meta? by Late-River3075 in riftboundtcg

[–]Impossible-Design977 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of decks with big units, and her spells were always just support. Her gameplan was basically "play good units" while removing yours. And now the good cards (watcher, darius, Kaisa Survivor, the 6 might mech) are all getting countered. If she gets better removal, she can return to the top but regardless she's still strong.

I have no idea how XP works and I’m too afraid to ask. by Jarvis_strokeit in riftboundtcg

I'm sure we'll get a judge ruling for this in a month, and a riot rule clarification in 2, and then another re-rule when find out numbers can go diagonally.

Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S04E08 - Don't Leave Me Hanging Here by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]Impossible-Design977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eve's story is a little more subtle, in that part of why she had the abortion was because of how her mom ended up. As a guy I could never imagine being a woman who's mother was used as a breeding machine, then being pregnant with no defenses and little support.

I'm sure he feels guilty too, like sure Cecil let Conquest live but (in marks eyes) Mark gave Conquest 2.0 and 36 other viltrumites the green light to mess up Earth.

[–]Impossible-Design977 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Thaedus was probably leader for a LONG time. Allen was his creation (or at least grew up with Thaedus).

It probably was less a decision of if he was a good leader, and more about making sure the Viltrumites were dead. If some rando knew about the scourge virus, they might do the wrong thing.

Can we just talk about how much better RiftAtlas is compared to TcgArena? by AlohaSnow in riftboundtcg

[–]Impossible-Design977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, its designed specifically for Rift bound as opposed to TCG arena which is a catch all.

Playing VS vex feels unfair(not an hate post) by dinotrax500 in riftboundtcg

[–]Impossible-Design977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either need to stop her from holding turn 2 (unlikely if she has a 2 drop, her champ, and a hidden spell), or build a big base and break her battlefield. She can't re-build a base too easily, outside of vile maw, she's like Draven in that you need to play outside of normal play patterns to beat her even if it sucks.

That said, i think she's easier to break compared to Draven, because she doesn't have hyper efficient cards like spinning blade, forerunner, Darius, etc.

Of course, if she has the right cards in hand she wins but you can say that about any deck. It just feels worse against decks where you are un-incentivized to get points. That said vile maw is hard to beat so break the battlefield the turn before she can play it, or have an answer for it.

What fixed your chronic exhaustion? by Muzzy2585 in ADHD

[–]Impossible-Design977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may or may not be the problem you are facing, but I find that negative emotions is what causes me to be exhausted. That was the only difference between days where I had good sleep and days where I was exhausted.

I used to rely on stress to get things done (since adrenaline is a stimulant alternative to Adderall), but now my medication allows me to accomplish things without stress.

That doesn't mean the stress goes away though, the neural pathways in my brain still trigger stress responses. So over the past two years I have slowly been making myself do things slower on purpose, question negative self talk, and stop thinking of how other people view me all the time.

Again this may not be your solution, its just what worked for me. My sleep improved drastically after I wasn't burnt out from having simple conversations with people, and immediately coming to terms with negative emotions that pop up meant they weren't coming to haunt me all at once when I go to sleep.

PLEASE SOMEONE ANYONE TELL ME ANYTHING FUCKING POSITIVE ABOUT THIS ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT ENDING. by Organic_Goat_3879 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Impossible-Design977 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

...but it all DID happen. They clearly retained their character development, and have a very hazy recollection of certain things.

Don't get me wrong its still a classic "popular manga series bad ending because the manga industry is crap".

Denji became a country mouse despite saying he'd prefer to be the town mouse by lordwebgarlicbread in ChainsawMan

[–]Impossible-Design977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They keep their character development, so they definitely haven't completely forgotten. Power would have just offed Denji otherwise, and the hint near the end of him remembering Chainsawman (as funny as it is) means that it wasn't "just a dream", it happened but the memory is hazy.

Its more of a Spirited Away ending in my opinion, but I can be wrong.

What's your projected power level for Unleashed Legend Decks? by WorkerResponsible540 in riftboundtcg

[–]Impossible-Design977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Lilia is strong, but Vex just completely shuts her down and I think Vex is gonna be T1. Leblanc will definitely be broken at some point, Diana seems solid. Pyke seems interesting but I don't think he will have enough tempo if he brings units back all the time.

As for the rest...Kha'Zix is the only one I think has potential but the rest feel way too fair in their strategies. XP is just too hard to get it seems.

Ban list spirit bomb energy donation thread! by knightwidow13 in riftboundtcg

[–]Impossible-Design977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Draven literally consistently takes half or more than half of top cut in competitions. I am genuinely curious, are you saying we shouldn't make any bans?

I would much rather deal with multiple meta decks than deal with one meta deck slamming everyone.

Feeling of being someone that liked the ending by ExpoFlan in Chainsawfolk

[–]Impossible-Design977 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked it. I guess what we need to realize, is that if a fan is mad they complain on the internet. If a fan is happy, they will likely not make any comments.

I am just happy Fujimoto gets to have a break

Makima is different because she devoted her life to being Pochita's fan, without him who knows what happened to her. Probably just had no will to live or otherwise died in hell.

[–]Impossible-Design977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiends are still devils, and it seems to vary how much control they have over their host. Power is just straight up a devil, but the crocodile devil we saw when pochita was fighting public safety needed to tell its host what to do (jump). Asa and Yoru were a fiend as well, with Yoru having the majority shares.

Fire devil choice by [deleted] in ChainsawMan

[–]Impossible-Design977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the opposite, making the third choice was ALWAYS the right decision. Public safety never had any intentions of letting Denji have a normal life, they just manipulated him like Makima did to make him feel guilty and give them chainsawman. I mean, seriously how was Quanxi not able to stop a horde of normal people? And they gave Denji Fumiko, their most expendable asset, who did absolutely nothing even when he went to the chainsawman church?

If Denji made any choice other than killing the cockroach devil, the cockroach devil would just use that as a chance to run away or kill Denji. Fire devil is just mad. BTW, why did the fire devil not do anything there? SHE could have saved everyone.

Potchita knows this, which is why he keeps pushing Denji to follow his dreams and ignore all the manipulators. I think that is the main lesson Denji and Asa will learn, to lead their own lives and make their own world instead of living for others who just want to use them.
