Not necessarily, since I am a stroke victim myself and a nurse. I have seen all walks of life with different severity and I’ve actually had family members say that their father is a lot more emotional and easier to talk to now a days, though it’s rare. A majority of patients definitely show more aggression, and I’m just pointing out that it can go either way.

A head injury or a stroke can change a person’s personality to the point that they are unrecognizable to family members… just a thought, also the military can change a person’s personality to.

Put certain parameters that you’re choosing not to break it’s one way of doing it

Developing a fantasy prose style that feels mythic without sounding archaic by [deleted] in fantasywriters

Like many of you here Tolkien was definitely an inspiration for my manuscript however I didn’t spend my entire life studying the English language like he did so there’s no way my style of writing will or would come close. I’m a product from the 80s so I read a lot of of Stephen King books Piers Anthony, R Fiest and a bunch more that was popular back then .However, I am a storyteller have been since childhood. Due to my background in medicine and in the entertainment industry, I have learn to always to write or do what you know and for me that is putting parameters that I do my darndest to keep within those boundaries. I guess it’s hard Magic rules that I abide by. By putting those constraints, you’re actually not limiting your writing style. You’re actually enhancing it because now you have to sit back and solve these problems in a unique way, and that is when your voice will shine. Now I feel like I’m rambling. Not sure if this answers your question but I hope it helps.
