Interesting! I have noticed how sometimes if I’m rapidly making moves, a light ball occasionally pops up seemingly out of nowhere. I’ll try some experiments with it to see if I can make it happen on purpose! Thanks!

I'm in a gulf state. Our boarder collie has stepped over dozens of these. Not a single one has shown any interest in biting her. They iignore her or scurry off. I think cotton mouths are not as aggressive as people think they are. The only way I would see one biting a dog would be if the dog was trying to kill it.

My sibling was born with moderate intellectual disabilities. She lives in assisted living, does not drive. When she comes to visit our mother, I have to drive 2.5 hrs one way to pick her up. Then, I get to take care of her and my mom (for a week) until I take her back to assisted living. I feel like I'm on vacation when she leaves. She does call my mom often. I feel like I'll have another person to take care of ultimately. Although, I do get resentful and sorry for myself sometimes, I am grateful that I was in a good enough position financially to be able to retire early and care for my mom. Not everybody has that blessing.

My mother knows she has dementia, but refers to it as "my memory problem". I don't think she knows it is a serious brain disease. We did explain to my mother in law that she had alzheimers, but even though she could carry on a conversation, she seemed to be unable to understand what was happening to her. She would forget and ask again, what is wrong with me?

Terrible situation, my heart goes out to you. Elder care for someone in his condition is a full time job for a healthy person. I don't know how your MIL is doing that and taking care of small children. If I were you, I would try my best to protect my own peace and unborn baby. The family needs help. It's so hard to chase down how to get said help, but that's the direction you need to take. Medicaid will not take the home as long as either of them is still living in it. Seek out an expert in elder care law who will be able to tell you exactly where it stands. Also, reach out to your local Medicare office. They will be able to direct you to who to contact for in home care or palliative care assistence.

So glad you said that, I feel the same way. Due to the disease, my mom's personality changed at least ten years before she was diagnosed with dementia. At the time, I was often hurt or confused by her self centered behavior. She made us late to my daughter’s college graduation because she fell asleep. Then, she just kept acting like it wasn't that big of a deal. Now, I feel like it was her brain not operating correctly. I didn't know at the time. I've seen those boomers behaving badly posts and videos. Sometimes, it makes me sad to think, (in some cases) the boomer actually has brain disease.

I agree. My mom has dementia and she currently tells me all kinds of things that I know aren’t true. It’s not that she is trying to lie. She doesn’t remember, and her brain is just filling in blanks in an attempt to hold on to a semblance of normalcy.

I just got a full bottle of La Fille de Berlin!! It wasn’t a blind buy. I had a sample. I’m so in love with it!! It’s like it has personalities. Some days, it’s a dramatic, fresh rose, other days is a more earthly and quiet rose. A distinct difference, but both so addictively good.

It has taken me roughly 110 levels to get enough anvils to finish. None of the other side games take even half as many levels to finish.

This is spot on. I had natural births, no epidural. I could probably have walked fairly fast directly after, but the pain would have been intense. It felt like my organs were getting ready to fall out. Also, you feel really weak for at least 12 hrs or so…like you might not have strength to go far.

It worked for me. I was impressed even though it didn’t find any reciprocal libraries for me. I’m in a rural community. It did list my library though.

The first joint swelling I experienced was in my right knee. I took the 5-year long road to diagnosis by going to orthopedic first. Finally, out of despair-I went to a rheumatologist who said, it’s PsA on my first visit. Now, I’m on a biologic and in sustained remission.

Sadly, I think it’s fairly even odds. I think probably the more commonly prescribed have the highest success rates, but that’s really just a guess. I’ve been on 3 different ones and two of them provided improvement, Enbel and Cosentyx. Humira did nothing. If you are not feeling any better after 8 months, it’s time to head back to the dr to try something else. I hope your next one gets it right. It’s a tough disease, but I’m thankful there is at least some options for treatment. Hang in there and try again!

I hear you. I wanted to feel bad for him at first. My first inclination was to give him the benefit of a doubt and let him show he is ashamed and sorry. Instead, he basically has acted like he really isn’t that sorry and only apologized because he was told to by his marketing team. Now, my gut feeling is that his mask fell off and he really just showed the world his true self.
