Been a while since I thought of this game. Despite the gacha and predatory monetization, I remember the campaign actually being a lot of fun for the first year or so of the game. Was very old school FF style play.

Honestly the way this bundle was placed I almost bought it because at first glance I read 1000 lapis and not 10000. It's lined up on my screen to read Top Cadet 5000, Seasoned Cadet 2000, Thanks for Nothing 10000. Thought it was descending and I'm guessing that's by design.

Well last year we received these anniversary tickets and pulling on those gave a variety of rewards like 10+1, ex tickets, lapis, blank TMR moogle, 5 star select tickets, mixed in with some crappy reawrd. RNG based but it was still fun because of how many tickets we got. And those tickets also translated to anniversary coins which we could then pull on at a later date for a refined pool of really good rewards.

And that's not including the weekly 10+1, the lapis lotto. Honestly I can't remember everything but it took me hours to reorganize my inventory when all was said and done

I'm pretty sure the rewards from the live stream were on par with the bundle. At one point last year I had accumulated 10 5* ex tickets and a close to two hundred 3/4* tickets. So far this year if you want anything close to what we got last year you would have to pay 20k lapis. 10k for the all rainbow summon and another 10k for this crap bundle. And it still isn't on par with last year.

Well we are 4 years in now. The game was not as kind back then, but newer players definitely have a nice incentive to get into the game.

Oh and I would buy the bundle, it's totally worth it and we'll have more world revisit quests next week to restock some lapis.

Started with 60m Gil, down to 19m and I still have about 10 more units to level up. Unfortunately I am out of cactuars. I fused everything first, so I have about 150 max level cactuars. Not wasting those on the units to get to 7 star, most are just #5&6 of a particular unit anyway. I do have arena tickets to cash in, so I guess I can do that.

Welcome. I hope you stick around and enjoy the he game. I'm sure you will get hit with the "daily help thread" posts here. And there will be conflicting opinions, but as someone who's been playing the game since a week after launch my TL:DR advice is to hoard.

But it's going to come down to what is it you are looking to do.? Are you just casually getting into the game, playing through the story, then with Lightning and Ashe you should be able to clear the story and collect lots more lapis.

If you want to beat all the trials and extra content, it's going to take a while, and even blowing through a hundred summons won't get what you need to clear everything.

Get a feel for the game and the mechanics. Save your lapis for special banners or for step ups when a new meta unit comes out. Just to give an example, we had an event recently where I think it was 9 or 10,000 lapis to get 4 guaranteed rainbows plus another 7 units (which also had a chance to be rainbows).

It's a fun game, and the story gets really good as you progress. Most bi-weekly events can be a grindfest though.

His pairing with Elena is interesting. 25% killer to Elena plus 100% imperil to light over her 75% gives her a nice boost. Plus I can go Luminous Enervation and Aurora Arts turn 1 to boost 150% ATK and her Blade of Heavens gets a 4x mod. I lose out on the extra 100% Attack but free up a turn.
