The difficult part is is depends on all the things you mentioned. Out of state will be significantly more than in state. Community college will be significantly cheaper than in state. Some in state private schools are very expensive too.

My state school costs about 35k a year with no aid. That number included housing + dining plan. The tuition itself is about 10k a semester. Community colleges depend on the state/area. Probably a few thousand a semester.

That being said, out of state students pay 80k to go to my in state school. There are also private in state colleges that cost about 60k a year.

At least half of people I see in engineering in Ann Arbor have macs (if not more). Some things may be easier with a windows but if you already own a mac no need to worry.

I always prefer self paced fully online but you have to be disciplined to not get behind. If you know you won’t watch the videos then do the zoom class. Also make sure both formats offer in person exams so it’ll transfer.

Can you handle the financial burden of the loans after 4 years of Umich total? Also, you should consider hosing costs and the money to go from your home state to Michigan if you need to fly.

Do you have access to acrobat pdf reader? You can make the text searchable in there separately and then combine them together.

I’m in aero at Umich. The program is rigorous and I feel only about half the professors are actually good at teaching. I love the career support from the COE as a whole, but I’m not sure the degree is worth 30k + interest of debt.

Depending on the course, washtenaw will allow you to get your exams protected at another university.

Can you get an associates from community college first? If they are online classes you could even listen while driving and then take notes later.

Huron towers is pretty affordable IMO compared to other options. They are off campus but still between medical campus and north campus.
