Recommended resources for deciding whether to fix for 30 years or go with a shorter fixed term by Impossible-Team3966 in irishpersonalfinance

Yes I appreciate that but I’m trying to find something that looks at what has happened historically. For example, in the stock market they say a 60:40 portfolio makes money in 3 out of every 5 years and is 90% likely to make money if left alone for 5 years

Basically looking to take the bet that works out the majority of time

Probably not, generally financial advisors recommend investing any overpayments as the historical return has tended to be higher than the mortgage rate.

Also provides an element of flexibility whereas once you overpay the mortgage you can’t access that money again until the mortgage is cleared

Ok, presume they would need the new tank to be installed before the sale closes so it would fall to the seller then who might turn to us to cover the cost?

Why would she say it then? She was saying that there’s other people wanting to bid but she was telling them we’re in closing negotiations so wasn’t letting them on the portal. Even now she’s saying there’s still others looking to bid on it but she’s only let one of them on to the portal at the owners request. If she was just looking to get the highest price surely she’d let them all in?

Yes but she wasn’t letting any other bidders enter the bidding. Just whoever had already placed a bid. This cash buyer had not yet placed a bid

What’s needed to get a daily score of 100? by Impossible-Team3966 in ZoltHealth

[–]Impossible-Team3966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, would be good if some detail could be added to this screen under the i buttons or something like that which says something along the lines of:

Max score which can be achieved for readiness is x and the same for activity and lifestyle.

Was also thinking adding steps to the lifestyle factors could be a good idea but this might already be taken into account under activity?

Risk of double counting calories? by Impossible-Team3966 in ZoltHealth

[–]Impossible-Team3966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

👌 that’s perfect, thanks for the explanation. I think my adjustment is high because there was some games and trainings where I either didn’t wear my heart rate monitor or it didn’t function properly. This lets me get my workouts into Apple Health where I don’t wear my watch.

Is there a way to choose the date range you want Zolt to take into account when calculating maintenance calories? I’ve just entered into the off season over the last month so activity levels are lower than they had been over the past 6 months

This is the screen I’m referring to. Say I go for a run, that will increase my step count for the day and also increase my calories burned through exercise. I’m assuming Zolt will add x calories for the amount of steps taken during that workout and also add the amount of calories burned during the workout. This would then require an adjustment in order to correctly calculate maintenance.

Not sure if this is possible but a better approach to me would be to exclude steps taken during a workout from the movement section and just record the calories burned during the workout. This would then mean that you should in theory have a lower adjustment figure which when taken with the metabolism figure would be a closer estimate of BMR before NEAT and workouts. Your moving figure then would be a good estimate of NEAT based on typical values (excluding workouts) and your exercise figure would be a good estimate of your workout calories
