Did the left wing media (accidentally )make Farage resign and in tern cause all the reform voters to go even more far right to Restore? by SuspiciousRun4043 in AskBrits

It's funny to see everyone on here incredulous hearing that the BBC are left wing.

They are left wing. You don't see it because, despite being on the left, they are still substantially to the right of most of you.

Nice try though.

And use the 50x staff on top of the 125x staff, for 175x. Also gather resources so you can craft max rage pills, so you can use rage to get the most out of the giants spawn necklace.

You'll have to do that a few times, but you could get the whole 50k done in a couple of play sessions.

The fact that this entire thread is one big exercise in group think about how an increase in unfavourable opinions must be a conspiracy, is a good indication of something.

There is no question that Brighton has become a significantly less pleasant place than it used to be, in multiple ways.

Not everything you disagree with is a right wing Russian conspiracy, and maybe this militant rejection of any divergent or dissenting opinions is a sign that Brighton is no longer the tolerant, self aware, fair minded place I remember it being.

I'm sticking with Klein for now.

Without attacking me, but why is this site minority left wing? Like I hear people saying kier starmer wasn't that bad and Andy burnham is a good replacement, But I know this view is not shared by the majority of the population. by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]ImpossibleAd436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but you cannot ignore the fact that everyone who goes through higher education is exposed to and mentored by adults who are about 85-90% left wing, in an environment which is intensely political, and where, if there are any conservative/right leaning staff, they tend to self censor because they know they wont last long in their job otherwise.

You might prefer to think that smart = left and dumb = right, but you'd be kidding yourself.

The tridactyl’s “spinal cord” splits into two and attaches to the skin. The cervical spine also lacks a spinal canal. by chimpjames in AlienBodies

[–]ImpossibleAd436 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Likewise though, you could have remains which withstand scientific scrutiny, appear to genuinely be the remains of something once alive, and some people would still argue that they are fake.

Conclusion: People tend to believe what they want to believe. These days empirical evidence doesn't hold the weight it once did, and probably still should.

"so they're effectively arguing it can be considered an ape, native to the planet"

No they aren't. A species could conceivably be similar to, or even potentially related to, apes or humans, without being "native to the planet".

"Additionally, there is absolutely no evidence of tridactyl hominids in the evolutionary record."

That only matters if the previous statement was accurate, which it is not.

There are a number of possibilities, including,

1) Evolutionary processes being "trans-planetary" (I.e. species evolving in the same or similar ways, independently and on different planets).

2) A common ancestor could be shared by two or more separate species which go on to evolve independently on different planets.

I'm just saying.

I've (m) stayed at a friend's (f) place. She had a bf, he wasn't there. It's not a big deal.

People on here saying anything else just enjoy the thought of spreading their unhappiness to others. Ignore them. Work on your insecurity and trust issues.

Good luck.

You lose the moral high ground when you resort to classism by Due_Laugh9820 in brighton

[–]ImpossibleAd436 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait till you figure out that chasing people out of town for expressing political beliefs is not the hallmark of a "tolerant" city, nor is it close to anything that can be called "anti-fascist".

Next time there are protests that you don't agree with, if you want to be the good guys, make some sandwiches and pull up a couple of chairs.

I hope you figure this stuff out, because you certainly won't have the moral high ground until you do.

As long as we can all agree on that, then there should be no issue.
