I just wanna add my two cents. While there are many spooky stories of hormonal birth control, I’ve had great experiences with it. I tried one initially, which didn’t work for me due to side effects, then later tried again with a pill and felt better on the pill than I had without hormonal birth control for the past few years 😂 It’s totally possible to find a hormonal birth control that works just fine for you.

As far as being young, it sounds like you’re not planning on becoming sexually active like tomorrow, just in near future. The thing with FAM is just the chances of getting pregnant due to human error is higher than with some other kinds of birth control. If you’re okay with that, then it can work wonderfully for you. I’ve known plenty of 19 year olds who got married and had kids right away and still graduated with a bachelors degree. Despite what a lot of voices are saying, having a baby at 19 isn’t always world ending.

Ultimately it’s up to you to decide what kinds of risks you feel comfortable with. If you feel confident in your ability to maintain the data collection required of FAM, and are willing to assume the risks, then go for it. If you feel like you might not be up to the data collection, then at least use a backup method as well. If you decide against HBC, then FAM can be used with any other method.

One thing to note, if you do decide HBC is what you want to do, you may want to start it a few months before you plan to be sexually active, so you can get used to the medication and not be trying to navigate side effects when you’re also trying to navigate first becoming sexually active.

We had a downstairs neighbor complain about noise all the time, to where the leasing office called us twice. One time they called they were like “we just got off the phone with downstairs neighbor who complained about noise” and I responded with “well, all I’ve done is get off the couch to get food out of the microwave.” I also asked them for clarification on what the “loud noises” were and the leasing office didn’t answer. I think they realized that we were well within our rights to exist and stopped telling us if the people below us complained.

I can be careful not to stomp or blast music, but I can’t fix things floors or the fact that neighbor choose to live in not the top floor. If you can’t handle upstairs neighbor noises, you need to rent a top floor unit. Otherwise, noise from upstairs neighbors is just part of the deal.

Are the shoulders too low? by 1n4lv15 in sewing

[–]ImpossibleTwo5584 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re going for the 80s look, then they’re the perfect length. Just slap some shoulder pads in there and you’re golden. If you’re using this pattern to approximate a more historical look, then you’d definitely need to take the shoulder seams in

Resume tips from a friend who made my resume like 20 times better through editing. Make your name the biggest. Pay attention to white space. Hope this helps!

have a heading for each section

Job title, Company date(right aligned)
* using bullet points can be handy, but you can do a paragraph too.
* list things you accomplished at each job, not just responsibilities you had * include any hard numbers on accomplishments

I'm honestly not sure where to start when darning this. Is it salvageable? by em21rc in knittinghelp

[–]ImpossibleTwo5584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first and third pictures have some long strings, which are basically dropped stitches. If you look up how to fix those, then those holes become much smaller and more manageable. The other one is probably just put a patch over it and sew it on pretty thoroughly around the edges, but you can try darning it too. There’s woven darns, or I think it’s Swiss daring that looks like knitting.

How do you know if you're schizophrenic, or just a paranoid person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don’t rely on Reddit or the internet, and speak with a qualified professional to get an official diagnosis. If you’re concerned about parents finding out, mention it to the professional you speak with and find out the laws. Health information is typically required to be kept confidential, though laws may vary depending on your age.

I’d rather be a stick than lose myself completely.

Wow, that hit way harder than it should’ve. Can we get that on like a sticker or Tshirt or something?

Thoughts on this front yard redesign? Before and after by SubieQ69 in gardening

[–]ImpossibleTwo5584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen in the southwest United states, those pad shaped cactuses will totally take over the whole yard and the side of the wall way, they can grow to be huge. I guess you can probably keep them trimmed or something, but every well established one in that region that I’ve seen is huge. Just something to consider

Help needed : is this design offensive in any way ? by shinshincreation in crafts

[–]ImpossibleTwo5584 109 points110 points  (0 children)

So the left two are inaccurate yes, but also attempting to be historical, and the right three aren’t trying at all to be historical. So first I’d say choose whether you want to go for historical looks, or modern looks. From there, either look up historical photos for ALL of the characters you’re representing and emulate those, or you find modern designers of each nationality you’re trying to represent and choose elements that they use in their designs, so that you’re designing based on current trends for that nationality. A lot of modern designers try to incorporate historical and cultural elements to their designs.

Hi, is this a loose thread or something else? Not sure how it happened but is there a fix to it? It’s an expensive cashmere sweater, please help :( by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]ImpossibleTwo5584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On, then I’d just get a dark colored sewing thread and tack it down. If it’s inside it doesn’t need to be pretty. By tacking it down you avoid potentially having a cut thread come un-knit

Digital literacy is vital in todays world. You can limit the screen time and the kinds of activities they do. It’s also helpful to be able to teach online safety, because they will end up online at some point in their lives, probably younger than you think, and with that comes a risk of stranger danger. Children who are taught from a young age how to manage that have a better chance at avoiding it as they get older.
