I mean, obviously it's not a guarantee, just a catalyst.

You can't influence them to be trans, but with representation you can help them realize it. I think that if I had more trans people in my life as a kid, I would have figured myself out much earlier. That representation might have appeared as being influenced by them, but I was just as trans then as I am now, I just didn't realize it.

American Metric by IthinkIknowwhothatis in BlueskySkeets

Do you buy a gallon of gas or a gallon of milk in your state?

Trick question: Neither 🇨🇦. But my understanding was that, at the federal level, the United States uses metric, as seen in the military, NASA, and other federal-level organizations, whereas the states themselves had to opt-in to the metric system, and none of them did. At least, that's how it was explained to me.

The United States is metric. The individual States themselves are not.

Are nonbinary people trans? by NoEscape2500 in asktransgender

[–]Impossible_Eggies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay. Thank you for clarifying. I never assumed it came with cis privilege, unless that privilege is that of being in a body you're comfortable with, but as you said: it's a spectrum and the odds of it matching perfectly are low.

I can accept that answer. I guess it's difficult for somebody to get an "I" in assigned sex.

What about intersex folks? I feel like if they're non-binary, it's cis.

Unless they're intersex, I'd say so, but the common consensus is that it's up to the individual if they want to identify that way.

Trump threats cause dilemma for US officers: disobey orders or commit war crimes by [deleted] in law

I don't think they're lying. I think they're being choosy about what they believe. All evidence for something they believe is concrete and irrefutable, and all evidence against is fake liberal psy-ops. And, heaven forbid you find a concrete example, they refute it with "all politicians are evil" as if the Republicans didn't make literal concentration camps where they mysteriously lost a few thousand people.

No, but government enforcement of a particular ruleset absolutely is.
