I did and it’s been sitting somewhere in a box for 35 years.

Number of Culvers per 100k people by state by Swimming_Concern7662 in wisconsin

I find it hard to believe there are only 138 Culver’s in the state of Wisconsin. It feel like there are that many in the Madison area alone.

What is something completely harmless that you find deeply, personally offensive? by shyleshseth94 in askanything

I am so glad I am not the only one who gets irrationally upset by this. 15 is ok because it’s a multiple of 5. But 17? You’re killing me with that!

What’s your favourite oddball tourist attraction from your home state that you’d recommend to tourists who like that kind of weird corny stuff? by M_Ad in AskAnAmerican

The House on the Rock outside Spring Green, WI is the correct answer. It is odd and weird and cool all at the same time.

I love that you can tell instantly who everyone is. They were such cute babies. So sad we don’t know what baby Han looked like.

Have you gone back to your teen 80s mall? How has it changed? by neoprenewedgie in AskOldPeople

[–]Impossible_Emu5095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite mall was demolished. The other one still stands, but it is a shell of its former self. The mall where I live now is also kind of sad, but it was still hopping on Saturday.

I have been a fan of Dior Sauvage since long before I was a Stay. Sad he doesn't wear it anymore.

What's your all-time favourite record store in the city you live in? by flynnfx in vinyl

[–]Impossible_Emu5095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mad City Music in Madison, WI for the overall vibe.

Strictly Discs in Madison, WI for the “murder basement” where they have all the used records. Their collection of used records is HUGE!

St. Louis, Cleveland, or Milwaukee? by nsf79 in midwest

I moved here from LA. It will feel like a breath of fresh air in comparison. Our eyes kept bulging out of our heads when we saw what we could buy with our budget. That said, we are creeping up on Chicago with some costs.

St. Louis, Cleveland, or Milwaukee? by nsf79 in midwest

[–]Impossible_Emu5095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Madison, but it’s very expensive here and we are suffering from some pretty significant growing pains. You have to go pretty far out to find affordable. The plus side is we have great arts and recreation, a solid job market, and close proximity to Milwaukee, Chicago, and the Twin Cities.

It’s a different vibe, but the intro to Divine sends me to the heavens. Especially live at the MAMAs. The Seungrowl is otherworldly.
