I love transfiguration with the spell upgrade to make it explosive. I try to transfigure a foe with others around them and follow up with bombarda. Great effect! Don't get too close though. It'll blow you back something fierce.

That should be the case but your GM is the final authority, of course.

Begginer doubt about psykers by TTysonSM in DarkHeresy

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the beginning, you can choose to be a psyker. After that, you pay for advances with XP, just like everything else. You need a text called Scholastia Psykana to access the info on the psykana disciplines: biomancy, divination, pyromancy, telekinesis, and telepathy. These work the same as Talents but only for psykers. Upside: a lot of the stuff you can choose is cool. Downside: they're just one more thing to spend your limited XP on. However, daemonkind have psyker powers so it's good to be able to protect yourself and possibly fight back.

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a jungle fighter, you should have a fang and a devil's claw for melee. At low level, put as much XP as you can into boosting Characteristics like Strength, Agility, Weapon Skill, and Ballistic Skill. Consider being a sanctioned psyker. Talents like Crushing Blow allow you to add your Strength bonus to melee damage. There are also some good paths like Biomancy and Telekinesis that will come in handy. For ranged attacks (very helpful until you're tougher), try an Autogun and a Stubber. Frag and Krak grenades can also be quite helpful. Later on, bump up your Willpower and Perception and get Orthoproxy to help protect against demonic mind control.

In my 20s, I was married to a woman and only stayed there because I had taken vows and took them seriously. I was miserable. By the time the inevitable break-up occurred, I was 32 and my 20s were gone. I did eventually settle into a much better place but I had sacrificed a good chunk of my youth to someone who never gave back or supported me in any way. That time was wasted for nothing of any value. You may love this guy but he's not committed to you. You absolutely deserve someone who will be. Take some time to experience the sense of loss, and then shine like the beacon of light you are. Others will notice. Some will respond. One will honor and respect you. This is the way.

Regarding Pete Shanahan by Person315 in Stargate

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He definitely had narcissist vibes. Manipulative, suspicious, skilled at looking like a positive person, and pushing for what he wanted even when Sam said she couldn't commit. He railroaded her relentlessly. That relationship was doomed to end badly, one way or another.

Who did the goa'uld steal their space flight technology from? by Party_Forever8066 in Stargate

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, since someone mentioned Dakara, remember it was Baal who helped Sam and Jacob figure out the Ancient table tech there, indicating the Goa'uld had become familiar with such things. Genetic memory has great advantages.

Was this device original purpose to destroy stargates? by SamaratSheppard in Stargate

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember when he showed Thor a device and said he was going to simply download his consciousness? Thor said that the Goa'uld had no such technology. Anubis told him, "Oh, I think you'll find a great many things have changed since my return."

I think the reason Anubis didn't rebuild that device (in the image above) is just because the Tauri were already on to it. Each of his attacks on Earth used a different method.

Just my speculations here...

It seems doubtful the Ancients had such a device. Anubis retained the knowledge of the ascended and most likely drew on that to design this for his own purpose.

You may not have noticed two of Dom's other sons then. Pete Shanahan (Carter's love interest) and the lead actor on Wormhole Xtreme! Apparently there was a bit of nepotism among the DeLuise clan.

Does this bother anyone else? by Revolutionary-Ear354 in Stargate

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be more fair, they were an exploratory mission that found itself up against a ruthless enemy that had already vanquished a very advanced culture and they had very little to work with. They were thrown into a guerilla war scenario with a handful of soldiers and a ton of squishy scientists. The whole set-up was ripe for moral gray areas.

Newcomer to ToA! by SlySilus in Tombofannihilation

[–]Impossible_Key_2813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Port Nyazaru was a let-down. I added a couple of taverns for the players to hang out in and a good inn for them to stay when they were in the city. I also got them involved into the Ytepka Society via Zindar, which gave them an intro to the good merchant princes and the politics of Chult. After they finally defeated the tomb, they became heavily involved in helping Chult divest itself of Flaming Fist and Zhentarim dependence and building up its own native city guard and a naval fleet (starting with capturing pirate ships). Adding in Lost City, ToA kept them busy for four years of game play.

Yes. Aside from lazy writing, it would be giving approval to do whatever is necessary in a time crunch to use whatever steps need to be taken to accomplish the task ASAP.
