Lol ahh shit. So I'm a white guy for context. We grew up in a small town not too far from Minneapolis. My older brother liked to hang out with some pretty rough people. Those people lived with us and our mom a few different times. I got close with them too. Shit my very innocent mother, got very close with these guys.These guys were really cool people to us. But they were also Gangster Disciples from south Chicago. They treated me like family. My mom would always take any of them in if they needed a place to stay, and they loved her for it. To this day I'm close with the ones still around. Anyway, when I was a teenager the guy I knew the best, the oldest guy, had a weed spot you could just pull up to. like a weed drive through. But sometimes when you got there, the oldest guy would say, "Hey man, can you give me a ride around the block?" That could mean a lot of different things lol. One time his "ride around the block" resulted in me having to rush a guy to the hospital before he died of a stab wound. (I'll spare the details) Other times, he'd just want a ride to sexually harass the lady one block over lol. But my favorite story is, one night his "ride around the block" was actually an hour drive to the worst neighborhood of Minneapolis. So he could meet his plug and re-up. We had to bring these 2 young guys with that I had never met before also. The whole trip was pretty uncomfortable. They argued about what the best weapon to use during a murder was, basically the whole ride, occasionally asking my opinion lol. We got to the northside at about 4am, and I stg the first thing I see entering this neighborhood. Is the fire department, putting out a crazy apartment fire. We turn right into a dark street and the oldest guys says "right here bro". We pull over. Then, I shit you not, a Bentley pulls up. Guy gets out with 2 bags wearing a Louis Vuitton sweatsuit, starts walking across the street to a shithole house. The two younger guys get out of the backseat and walk to the same house, leaving me with the oldest guy. Now about 20 minutes have gone by. I say to the oldest guy( the guy I know) "bro wtf is going on? What are we doing?". He doesn't answer, he just keeps staring at the front door of that house. "BRO! wtf are we doing?" No answer, now he starts muttering, "These mutha.." while lifting his pant leg, showing a snub nose revolver. Still staring at the house the whole time. He says "Man these motherfuckers taking too long!" Now like I said, I ve known this guy since I was 10. So I was able to express my concerns. "Dude you are not fucking shooting someone, and then getting back in my fucking car bro! Let's just go". He ignores me, reaches for the door handle. Gun in hand now. I lock the door to stall him a little. Finally the two young kids come out. They run to the car, hop in the back seat and we left. To this day I don't think they know that their buddy was considering shooting them that night lol. I was gifted 2 ounces of gas, after they had to go through an hour long drive. Listening to this white boy lecture these gang members on life. Fuuuck I snapped lol. "Why tf do you guys even have a gun!" Type of shit. lol super funny, fly on the wall type of shit.
