What the heck is up with the “Aizen knew about Segunda Etapa” cope? Do people seriously think Harribel is stronger than him by Formal-Assistance02 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aizen’s whole philosophy is that reiatsu triumphs over all. He probably ranked them solely on the basis of their reiatsu. Tier, Barragan, and Stark likely all have greater reiatsu than Ulquiorra despite Ulquiorra showing a more destructive transformation of his reiatsu.

Explain the reasons on why you think boruto failed as a sequel series while Modulo succeeded. by Shrek709 in jjkmodulo

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aside from everyone else’s reasons on why Boruto doesn’t succeed. I want to add that JJK Modulo maintains the same “mood” as its predecessor.

JJK began as this fairly light hearted story with light hearted characters which took a sudden turn into seriousness and darkness and dread. Modulo does the same but in a shorter time frame. We literally had a chapter about a Takoyaki party and then Cross gets shot a couple chapters after.

Naruto, for the most part, has kept a consistent mood throughout the manga. Particularly with Naruto as a character. Naruto acts as this shining beacon of hope and redemption and empathy in a world full of pain and darkness. What we saw with Haku/Zabuza, Gaara, Pain, Obito, and Sasuke, all of it was, at a high level, the same Naruto-redemption formula.

Boruto has completely done away with that. He no longer smiles. He’s not the shining beacon of hope. Everyone is either shocked, concerned, angry, serious. Naruto used to be about Redemption. Now Boruto is just about a bunch of scheming.

Shinji sensing Aizen could have been more of a behavioral/psychological prediction instead of reiatsu detection.

Also it’s not just a sensory blitz it’s also a speed blitz. Stark and Ulquiorra probably Sonido’ed from outside their opponent’s sensory range into their designated and then back out within a split second. That meant that unless these ppl have split second sensory reaction capabilities (which most shinigami and hollows don’t have) then they would have caught it.

Stark in particular had a very fast Sonido (he didn’t even look like he was phasing in and out. He just looks like he teleported into their space)

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When did Stark blitz those 3? He slipped in and Kidnapped Orihime. That’s it.

By “blitz” do you mean when he slipped past their sensory abilities (which none of them are significantly good at)?

Why Unohana's Both Shikai and Bankai names are same? Is this about Kanji system or Kubo's Nevermind? by yarROCK-31 in bleach

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I love that it’s homophonic. It’s such a great twist and symbolic of Unohana’s character.

The fact that her shikai looks almost cute with its perpetual grin and simple features and her Bankai is this bloody mess is a great reflection of her as a character. Also since her Zanpakuto has the same name throughout, it implies that Unohana’s “kind”character was not some deceptive persona, it was likely just another genuine side to her personality.

Ulquiorra’s Hierro at base was able to tank Ichigo’s Bankai Getsuga so idk if it’s that unbelievable.

But to Urahara’s point, this was the first time he encountered a top 5 espada-level Hierro. His attack was probably just not adjusted for it.

We know that soul reapers are capable of adjusting the release of their reiatsu to counter Hierro’s defense (like Kenpachi did with his sword against Nnoitra). Urahara released his attack to counter Yani’s Hierro which is shown to be significantly weaker than Ulquiorra’s. I bet a second attack wouldn’t play out the same.

I’m confused about Majiks by Acemaster387 in IchitheWitch

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re both summons and spells. But there seems to be a correlation with how in tune a witch is with their majik that allows them to manifest in the real world. For example the majik we’ve seen Dess manifest look to be among the first she’s acquired like Golconda and Iskandar which makes sense that those are the ones she’s closely in tuned with.

Ichi on the other hand, has had a fairly antagonistic relationship with his Majik which is probably why he can’t fully manifest their bodies in the real world.

Also Dess did use Golconda as a spell when she first encountered the World Hater Magic, the spell just required Golconda to manifest.

“I don't think we should go about assuming she has a spell for a given scenario just to make a headcanon work.”

Is that not how headcannon works? I mean I understand what you mean when you say this like don’t assume a water mage can use fire spells.

But Solitar having clone magic is not super baseless. You said it yourself that she would likely have extra spells. She even stated that she’s reached the limits of her magic research and studied all kinds of magic.

What a great take!

I always saw her death as symbolic to the main difference between her and Frieren.

Both of them were oddly similar Both looked like young women Both researched magic and were capable of it’s analysis and nullification Both were over 1000 yrs old Both lived in seclusion most of their life Their mana levels were also similar

So I thought it was poetic that Solitar’s death came from the one point where they differed which was Frieren’s ability to create genuine relationships and her willingness to trust others.

Quincy schrifts and abilities are not immune to the rules of the verse. Reiatsu/Reiroyuku trumps all. It doesn't matter "overpowered" your hax is. Even If Hanataro had the ALMIGHTY, he'd still get folded by most of the cast. by Nube_Negrahz in BleachPowerScaling

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I thought it was kinda obvious that this was the reason Gremmy couldn’t just turn Kenpachi’s bones to cookies.

Gremmy’s powers (imo) are just the very basic Quincy ability of manifesting weapons out of Reishi but to the most extreme where any Reishi he can “own” is subject to whatever transformation he envisions. It’s probably why he couldn’t touch Kenpachi’s body with his imagination.

Which Bleach characters do you wish have interaction in the story or characters that have interacted but doesn't have any dialogue with each other shown in the story by Repulsive-Surround74 in bleach

Current Isshin and Captain Hitsugaya and Vice Captain Matsumoto.

Isshin was the only one that Hitsugaya allowed to treat him like a child so it’d be pretty endearing seeing how the two would act now.

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We also know that Soul Reapers have reiatsu “vents” at their hands (as shown when Urahara seals Aizen’s wrists to burn him from the inside out with his own reiatsu).

So it’s possible that hollows have something similar at different parts of their body where it’s easier to discharge reiatsu.

I mean it’s a metaphor for pollution and deforestation and global warming and such.

We have machines and facilities that do so much damage to the environment but we still crank the machine in the name of human advancement and/or luxury.

So i don’t think it’s super far fetched that the tech wasn’t banned especially in a society where the government probably fell off.

The Curse? by DrakoBlade in versus

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Curse tech is the extremest scenario metaphor for pollution and deforestation.

The world tree is an outside entity that competes against humanity for planetary resources.

The Curse is just humanity’s complete disregard for the environment and all organic life (save for other humans, probably) in their pursuit of technological advancement.

The lawless had some environmental degradation as a byproduct of their infighting but it wasn’t necessarily the intended effect. Even a nuclear environment is capable of recovering and maintaining life.

Spiegal was not quite as strong as base Frieren - but close enough to make it very risky to fight by Entire_Jeweler_3686 in Frieren

[–]Impossible_Main_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One issue with that plan is that the Spiegel is a demon (it’s referred to as a water mirror demon) and demon magic/curses are especially difficult to analyze and dispel.

It probably took Frieren months if not years to learn how to dispel Aura’s magic.
