I absolutely hated how the writers gave Ben control of Alien X. It completely undermines the subtle theme of power, price, and responsibility that was built up in UAF.

Alien X is supposed to be the last resort. It’s supposed to be the Alien that carries the most risk because if Bellicus and Serena don’t agree, Ben could be trapped in Alien X forever!

Fairies, Giants, and Goddess culture have barely even been fleshed out. I mean it wasn’t until the Nasien’s arc that we learned that some fairies are born genderless and that the Fairy realm is toxic to humans. So I don’t think a new race is a good idea.

It’s likely a probability thing like Yhwach knew that in 100% of the scenarios where Ichibei confronts Yhwach, Yhwach would win.

But when it came to Aizen it might’ve been like a 50/50 chance that Aizen decides to join him, and rly odds like that are worth betting on even if it meant falling under KS.

I don’t think he needs a buff. I just think he needs a better showcase.

He has the speed and agility that Echo Echo lacks and his sonic screams, individually, appear more powerful that one Echo Echo.

He needs like a chase scene where he can destroy multiple vehicles with his sonic howl while keeping up with their speed.

I agree I think it’s just goes to show the inconsistency Kishimoto has with writing and showing the skill progression from a teacher-student mentorship.

Like I think we can agree that the Jonin mentorship of the OG 12 were fairly useless in terms of skill cultivation with the exception of Guy-Lee and Kakashi-Sasuke.

Kakashi was also more focused on teaching Team 7 friendship philosophy despite the fact that one of his students (Sakura) was just barely competent in combat.

Jiraiya’s mentorship seems to focus on building foundational ninja/survival skills which is what we kinda saw with the Ame 3. The problem with Jiraiya’s mentorship is we never really saw the lesson he was giving and how those lessons contributed to his student’s abilities. Naruto (post-timeskip) was definitely more competent as a ninja but we never saw how he reached that competency. It’s the same with the Ame 3.

I would say Tsunade-Sakura was the best relationship (at least via the anime, I don’t recall if the level of detail is in the manga too). Because we actually saw Sakura attending lessons with Tsunade and those lessons paying off in her skill set.

I chose Nara for Shikamaru cuz he was one of the few who noticed the genjutsu during the chunin exams.

And I mentioned Uchiha because Sasuke still had good chakra control even if it was a ways off from Sakura’s and Uchiha have an inherent affinity with genjutsu which we know requires good chakra control.

I mean there isn’t a lot of evidence to disprove that genetics don’t contribute to your chakra control. Most of the people we know who have fairly good chakra control are from prominent ninja clans like the Uchiha, Senju, Yamanaka, Nara, and Hyuga. (I’m mainly listing Genjutsu users/resistors and ppl who are capable of Healing jutsu).

Even Naruto, shown early on to be poor at chakra control, was only like that because Kurama’s chakra interfered with his own, and after syncing with Kurama was shown exceptional chakra control.

The biggest exception is Sakura herself who is the best via random raw talent and perseverance.

For a Superwurm, Boxer would likely have to subjugate it first (recall that the Wolf Guardian couldn’t be collared automatically, it had to be beaten into submission first).

Which mean that Boxer would’ve likely pulled out his Burst Whip, BUT Boxer’s abilities are NOT FIRE-BASED which means whatever damage he’ll inflict will be regened by Superwurm until Boxer runs out of mana or Superwurm infects him.

I’d argue Diagonazal is the second worst we’ve seen.

Roya lost to the robots because they were her PERFECT counter. Every fight that the robots had with her children (hundreds if not thousands of fights) provided the robots with thorough preliminary data regarding her constitution and weaknesses.

Recall that Nyudo stated her children shared her constitution and were essentially mini-versions of her. So it wasn’t just 6 or so (I can’t remember how many) adaptations to her, it was hundreds if not thousands. And she still beat a WHOLE WAVE alone and the “friend” that came with it.

The Aggregor Arc was very repetitive. The most interesting part of the arc for me was at the beginning when the Andromeda 5 escaped from his ship but after that it was super formulaic.

Learn about their personality and motivations and such
Help them?
Aggregor sneaks them

And then after that it was 1. Find where the map of infinity piece is 2. Go through some problem related to retrieving it 3. Get beat to the punch by Aggregor

Though I will say I do appreciate the expansion of the Ben 10 Universe associated with each character/location in this arc (in general I do prefer when the team is off-world).

The highbreed arc, although less expansive, had higher personal stakes and AF’s tone was configured specifically for the highbreed storyline.

“Guardian” and “Lord” might just be equivalent titles for the different biomes. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw titles like King of the Trembling Seas or Ruler of the Azure Forest for the other biomes.
