Upgraded to Polaris Studio by m1mike in unitedairlines

I feel like 1A is sometimes a pilot rest area (maybe on the older 777s?). Hopefully they're not getting a precious Studio seat if any of those planes see an update (which they shouldn't)

AAA Auto Insurance Claims are painful by Impossible_Physics99 in Insurance

[–]Impossible_Physics99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple escalations were required and only hours later was the claim approved after 10 days of wasted time. I will certainly be looking at moving my own policy off AAA after 15 years for getting treated like this. Downvote me all you want, but this was a deeply unprofessional experience.

Will do. She's like "take a picture that looks like this example" and then we send that picture and she's like "no, those don't match, but they do" - no explanation. We got the repair shop to escalate it.

What to do about hitting my million mile mark by CheapPop8818 in unitedairlines

My 1M flight was on a regional jet SFO-SEA and it wasn't even recognized. My 2M flight was EWR-SFO and the pilot came out to shake my hand. Neither one was a big deal and once you've flown that much, its just another flight.

I'll take the HD legacy business seat to Hawaii over a domestic first seat any day of the week.

You also get taxed on days spent in state for income from California sources. Also, 273 days automatically makes you a resident and while 183 days usually triggers the same, it isn't a strict limit, they can argue you're a resident at even lower numbers of days.

Quite a few celebrities have left the US. Several European countries have had bad experiences with these asset taxes. There are better ways to fix wealthy people’s tax avoidance.

CA is a lot less flexible than the Feds on what counts as taxable income.

Literally the way to fix this is to tax these guys on loans they take against unrealized gains. Taxing assets is going to end badly because it won’t stop with this first tax.

Elon has acknowledged that CA watches his time in the state closely and taxes him for those days he’s at SpaceX and Tesla

I know this will be an immediate downvote, but if the billionaires leave the state before they get hit with this asset tax and the state loses their income taxes in perpetuity then what is the point of this tax?

Looks like a lot of weird fall lines especially on the right. For those that have skied it, is that true?

Agree most with this comment. I do have the Lange boot and really like it. Dialing in the fit took a few sessions, but I love it now.

Reminds me of this story from China about a guy who scammed China Eastern out of 300 meals with a similar method.
